Is there any support in this support forum?

Besides the obvious fact that I have issues with the game that I have posted and not heard anything, there are the tons of unanswered issues, page after page of them. So much so I can’t even seem to find my posts.

Is there any support for the game I bought or not? If so, please point me in the right direction, a phone number, an email, something.

An open forum, with no tracking, accountability or escalation process can be a nice adjunct to help with support but is not acceptable as the only form of support.

I bought your game. I have an issue/issues. Any pleas for understanding and patience that hundreds/thousands are having issues as well are understood but only go so far. Ultimately that is the problem of 343 not their customers, although we suffer for it.

Issues (most irritating but not comprehensive list in any way)

  1. Various DLC disappears, specifically armors such as p reorder bonus. I have to go re download, then set my character back to the way I had it. This continues to happen randomly. How do I fix this permanently? Before saying delete/reload Halo 4, I’ve done that. Before saying their is something wrong with my xbox, this is the ONLY game I am having any kind of issue with as well as I am not the only person who has reported this issue.

  2. Completed Episode 2, all 5 chapters on legendary. I have the challenge to show that. Last night while flipping through menus now it shows only first 2 completed on legendary, the last three only completed on normal. How does this happen? How do I fix it?

  1. That isn’t an issue with Halo 4 itself, it is an issue with the Xbox in general recognising the content.

  2. Usually happens when you play missions while the servers go down or during some dodgy server time, to fix it, just re-play the missions.

  1. No. It is an issue with Halo 4, not the XBOX. No other game or app has “forgotten” any form of extra download content. Only Halo 4, multiple times, randomly. In fact the XBOX only content, such as Avatar armor or accessories that I acquired at the same time have not had a single issue. I’ve only had to re download the in game content multiple times for the game to pick up that it exists again.

  2. Once again, No. I have already had to go back and replay multiple missions in both spartan ops and campaign. I wasted too much time as it is going back and doing things I’ve already done. The data was already there. It was there for several days, with many more hours of play after I completed it. Halo 4 had been closed and opened multiple times. Waypoint had been closed and opened multiple times. And now between the time I posted last and this one, it now says that I haven’t completed chapter 4 of episode 2 on solo at all. Strange, why then do I have the Challenge to complete Episode 2 on Legendary then? Unless that has been reset now as well, I guess I need to go check. Seems like all I need to do is wait a few more days and it will probably show I haven’t even played the game.

As for number two, you’re saying even when you complete it on Legendary, it just stays as Normal, or later on it just changed back to Normal?

Best post your issues there, it’ll get seen quicker and resolved quicker.

Do you work for 343 or Microsoft?

If not, these please tell me how you are so sure that issue #1 has nothing to do with Halo 4?

Let’s see, do I have downloaded content for other games? Yep.

Is this downloaded content similar in game unlocks or only extra maps, etc? Both.

Have I had an issue with ANY other downloadable content? Nope.

Have I had issues with any Halo related content outside of Halo 4 game itself? Nope.

Regardless, number 1 is the least of my issues as it’s only cosmetic and it has seemed to stop happening in the last several days.

As for number 2. This is a whole other issue.

No I am saying I completed all chapters of Episode 2 on Legendary. It showed that I completed them on Legendary. I got the Challenge, well 2 challenges actually, the one just for completing Gagarin on legendary, and the one for completing all Chapters on Legendary. Last time I could check the Challenges, they were still shown as complete. I can’t see them any more because they have been replaced with this weeks. For several days it showed just fine that I had completed them.

Last night, right in the middle of me looking at things, it suddenly showed that I had only completed the first 2 on Legendary, the other 3 showed that I only had completed on Normal. As of this morning, it’s even worse, it is showing now for chapter 4 of episode 2 I never completed it solo.

You ask for help. You receive help. You reject help. You question why no one helps.

Exactly what “help” have I received?

  1. I’m given a completely incorrect assumption. And to prove my point, simply look at the “issues being investigated thread”. You will find the DLC missing as one they are looking at. Read completely and you will see that they even say, with content properly downloaded try restarting the game. This sometimes doesn’t work. In other words, not an issue with the XBOX.

  2. Again, I’m given a completely incorrect assumption. The servers were not down when I completed them. How do I know? They showed as fine for multiple days after completion. Both locally and on Waypoint. I have the challenge for completing all of them on Legendary. I have the separate challenge for completing Gagarin. The game was started and exited many times over those days, earning other items that show up correctly both locally and on Waypoint. Waypoint itself shows in the Service Record 10/10 completed solo. 9/10 Completed Co-op. If you go to the spartan ops part, it shows the exact opposite.

I am fairly sure the glitch happened while I was in the game looking at challenges, but was logged into Waypoint at my PC as well checking other items. It was in the middle of that when I checked spartan ops and saw that all of a sudden everything had changed. Might have just been coincidence. Wouldn’t know, haven’t spoke to any person actually supporting the game yet.

But you decide to leave your comment. The only problem is apparently there is a serious lack of reading comprehension on your part, otherwise you would not be making claims that I “received” help. My replies to you and the other person are not meant to be harsh, but do contain a bit of “what the heck? Did you even read what was posted?” in them.

Would playing through the last 3 chapters on legendary again set those chapters back to being completed on legendary? Possibly. But for how long? This doesn’t fix the error, or the bu/issue that caused it. And why should I? It’s not my issue or mistake. I would prefer to being playing the game and enjoying it rather than hating it the whole time because I am having to do stuff all over again just to get something I already earned.

But even beyond that… Look at the title of my post.
I still looking/waiting for some for of support from the company.

343 is pretty bad with the community.
