Is there a way to unlock BR BLAST?

Everywhere I’ve looked says that the orange and white BR Blast skin is currently unobtainable or a pesky mod, but this week I’ve seen about 6 players using it? -3 were together in party and the others were separate?

Anyone know?

Cheers!

As far as I know it’s still only moddable. Just really common to see the mod.

omg why has everyone seen it ingame except me

Just go into forge, set it for random weapons, and start suiciding yourself. You’ll spawn with it eventually.

It may be a Halo 5 preorder once they officaly announce it

OP, I ran into a few players using it just earlier today. I realized it as well when I picked one up off a dead player, however, its most likely a mod, b/c their is no current way to unlock it.

TBH, I doubt that very much.

Why would 343 make a Halo 4 weapon skin as a Halo 5 pre order bonus? Makes no sense.

Why not? It seems reasonable to me consindering there is no other way to get it at the momment other than modding. It just a thought after all.

It most likely will be linked with spartan assault on the 360.

For some reason, 343i has been holding out on us for nearly six months; the BR Blast and DMR Concrete skins are legit, but 343i has not yet given us the means to unlock them (most likely a glyph code).

Anybody you’ve seen using those skins will have been using a mod, as there’s no other way to get them. I run across players using such mods on a regular basis; namely people the team mascot emblems (the T-Rex, the Tiger, the Raptor, and so on), and sometimes people running about using armor or armor skins that they shouldn’t have based on their level; like a level 49 with full Stalker armor, for instance.

…Or the Weapons Mastery skins on a level 7. That one really irks me ^^

To be honest I’ve never seen anyone with the Team Emblems before, though I’ve heard a lot of people asking about that… I’d love that T.rex really, I’d love it a lot. It’s not something I’d go rule-breaking to get though.

There’s also the Orbital Swift armor which I believe is also unobtainable, but I see it from time to time.

Just ran into it in a Ricochet game. Guy from Spain. However people are getting these skins, the exploit must be pretty widespread.

It actually involves taking their profile from their console and putting it onto their PC, then use programs to mod the data. Then just put it back on their console and load it up. At least theres more people who prefer to earn their weapon/armour skins legit.

The problem in this case is that the BR BLAST, DMR CONCRETE, and Orbital SWIFT skins can’t be earned at all. 343i won’t even tell us the codes or the prerequisites to unlock them.

As did I. Strangely enough the guy I played with was also from Spain, and I encountered him during a match of ricochet

I’ve heard that each disc has a type of “disc lock”, where the disc has the content on it, but it just hasn’t been “unlocked”. One of my friends has it and he claims that he didn’t mod to get it, and it just popped up in his weapons one day. Could it be because of this “disc lock”, making it so that modders can easily hack into their files, and/or random people having their games glitched jut to get it?

A good theory, I suppose.

I think it’s Halo 2 Anniversary bonus content (if it exists, which I seriously hope it does). Just look at it, the BLAST skin is like a silver/orange. If you think about it, Halo 2’s “colors” are the same.

Either way, I hope 343 tells us something.

But to answer the main question, the only way I know to obtain the BLAST skin, as well as CONCRETE and SWIFT, is to do some modding.

It might be a pre-order thing too. Like if you pre-ordered the game from amazon or something before halo 4’s release.

Oh, for the love of…

facepalm

No, it really wouldn’t be. They don’t release pre-order content AFTER the game comes out. The BR Blast, DMR Concrete, and Orbital Swift skins didn’t even exist until the Champions DLC came out, nearly a year after the games release.
