i have had my occasions where people have music blaring in the mic n in past halo games they had the ability to mute players for this but now i have to wait til match starts to mute and if you get a long loading screen it can get rather beyond irritating. do that already have an option to mute single people before hand?
Not that I have seen, no. I either just start the game in a party chat even if it’s just me, then switch to game chat when the match starts so I can hear my team, and then mute anyone if need be.
Not yet, but hopefully by the next update they’ll implement the option to.
Nothing doing, yeah. Just go into party chat or crank down your chat volume on your headset (if your using one)
Once while i was waiting for the game to load, i had someone scream
“OH I GOT A LEGENDARY YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH”

I’m so god -Yoink!- tired of people telling me I suck because I don’t have a mic or that I’m a broke -Yoink- f****t because I can’t afford one.
I don’t want to talk to you, and now I really don’t want to listen.
There should be an option to mute team chat by default as in previous Halo games. Or another option might to be only mute players that are using their Kinect as their in-game voice. Whoever thought that would be a good idea should be fired. I can’t tell you how many games I’ve gotten into where I’ve had to listen to children and wives in the background with no way to mute them.
well i dont want to mute the whole team, because i want to communicate, but i dont want to hear another person scream in their mic like the noob from BFF about getting prophets bane
If you hear someone’s music blasting, simply say loudly and clearly: “Xbox turn off…Yes”
Cant you hold down the View button (the small one that looks like 2 overlapping squares) and hit X to mute all? Or am I crazy?
I solved this problem. I simply plugged in the wired Mic that came with the Xbox and cut the cord, literally. And done. So sad a simple feature like mute all is beyond a game like this. Got too tired of waiting to mute people on every match one by one so I decided to butcher my Mic.

It’s like they equipped their mic just to irritate others. If you wanna hear music and not speak, please unplug or mute your mic.
Sometimes it’s their kinect too, you can talk through the thing and it picks up pretty much ALL the dang background noise. Me and my brother were in a party with a friend and after he left to do something else we could still hear him talking through it (he doesn’t have a mic). I wish you could mute before game starts, the blaring music gets annoying…and hearing 9 year olds arguing with 18-19 year olds (although sometimes thats funny)

Not in the pregame lobby…OP just turn down the volume till the game starts. It’s too bad we know beforehand who’s being disruptive so we could mute from the get-go. Better yet I wish we had an option to boot them.

Can we just add a feature where if we don’t want to listen to any comms, we can toggle it from the menu?

sucks we all have to cater to these -Yoink- because i actually like to communicate to teammates when they aren’t in party chat but know i have to either do temp party chat or lower volume temporarily to wait til game starts than find out who it is and mute. last night i had someone have a kid crying in the background and a dog barking and radiohead cracked up. they were on the other team so when the game started it was nice not to head them but when the game ended it was still going and what suck was the loading end game took forever for some odd reason so i had to really lower the volume to off. and when i finally found out who it was that was making the nice and muted his -Yoink- so fast. sucks i had to trial n error because you cant see enemy mics going off n i didnt want to mute all n punish the rest for one.
