Is there a way to get someone permanently banned from Arena?

This YOINK kept committing suicide. Not once or twice. Not “hey I wonder if I could jet-pack to this spot and get a better sniping angle?” Nope - DOZENS of times a game.

The bad thing is, he was on the other team the first time, so I put him on the avoid list, and danged if he didn’t show up on my team the next game anyways!

I went and looked. He did it 4 games in a row.

Why someone would spend an hour of their life deliberately making other peoples’ lives miserable is beyond me, but this guy has got to go.

Quite frankly, nobody really cares.
He won’t get banned from anything by doing that.

Why don’t you be a little more sympathetic to his situation. You wouldn’t like it if someone did that in your game.

As for this guy, you can’t get him perma banned from Arena. That’d be silly. The only thing you can do is report him and hope for the best.

Because nobody really cares honestly.
I’ve had games like that happen to me as well and I didn’t start making threads asking to get those players banned.
I simply played a game in an other playlist, then came back into the one I was before.

I can guess that you never heard of the word “trolling” before. Welcome to internet; people troll online all the time. You just had the misforutne of running into one.

The avoid/prefer system of the xbox 360 doesn’t work. It in no way influences the way you are matched up with players. That’s why he ended up on your team. Don’t even get me started on the lack of true skill in Reach.

Solution: Run with a team (preferably friends) and you won’t get idiots or trolls on your team.

Yes, I am aware that trolls exist online (and IRL), I wanted someone to explain the reporting process…

Exploiting Jet-Pack in Arena has go to go. I’m praying they remove Jetpack next season. I can not WAIT to see how bad some of the “top Onyx” players are when they can’t fly.
