Is there a way to fix the 91 GB update problem?

So, in the last update for some reason my Halo 5 is trying to update 91 GB, so basically it is reinstalling. Is there a way to fix this?

343 is currently trying to fix it, may take a while for a fix to come though, because it’s one of the weirdest bugs that has occurred.

If you had the game on an external drive, then the update would try to install it on the internal drive. So to overcome this issue, you had to copy it from your external drive, and put it on the internal drive. Then the update was, if I remember correctly, 293 MB. This was not a major update. It was put in so they could find out the issues with the servers. I know there were others that were stuck with the complete download, but I have not heard of a fix for that.
