Is There A Way To Edit Posts?

  1. Click the quote button (just to the left of the Bold button) to quote the whole post; or
  2. Hightlight the text you want to quote and a little ‘Quote’ button will appear - click that to quote.

This happens if you use the ‘Quote whole post’ button and your reply will display immediately after the one you’re quoting. If there are no other replies after the one you’re replying to, just quote part of their post instead of the whole thing

Nah, haven’t talked to the old gang since Sep7agon went to hell.

I have never seen the “Quote Whole Post” button until now. When you highlight the text you want to quote, there is a Quote button that quotes only that part; that’s when it happens. So it must be tied to the same “Quote Whole Post” functionality.

If I highlight the text and click on Reply, it quotes that text and the system does not remove it as I did with this reply.

That’s good to know, though.

You know i actually went over to septagon for the first time since 2014 a few days ago. I was doing some heavy lurking and I posted to see if anyone was still around. Only 1 reply unfortunately. I’m gonna add you on xbox whenever I get the chance

That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long long time.

You can also quote posts by holding click on another person’s post, and you can drag to fit what you want. But right now I’m on mobile, not even on the app.
Theres a setting somewhere to make mobile default I think, but it wont save.

I never joined Sep7agon. The design reminds me of the old Bungie forum crossed with that browser plugin for adding extra customization. It’s great to see that some people from it are still around.

I found something new that’s relevant. The poll shows all the different forum user categories. Click on the gear icon in the reply box and then click the gear icon in the create-a-poll box to see all the poll options.

343, admins, Monitors, staff, trust_level_0, trust_level_1, trust_level_2, trust_level_3, trust_level_4.

Also, the pencil icon that shows a post has been edited was changed between now and when I first posted to this thread. It used to be orange but now it’s gray. I wonder if the color only shows up if its new or if the forum changed before my very eyes.
Edit: I take that back. Looks like it really is orange some times and gray other times. Without knowing anything I’m guessing it’s orange to highlight that a post was changed recently. Also, if you edit a new post fast enough it might not be counted as an edit. I made a slight change to this post and it saved the change but it doesn’t show up in the edit history. I added the word “that” to my third sentence.
