In Halo Reach you could hit the centre button then go to the xbox dashboard during the countdown before a game if you didn’t want to play the map that was chosen and not get quit penalised. Is there any way to do this on xbox one for Halo? Needless to say half the maps on big team battle are absolutely shocking. Gameplay is horrible (scavenger, recurve… cough cough) and I just do not have the patience to sit through a terrible game and not even be able to quit at the risk of being banned for 15 hours.
Short of turning off my xbox… is there any way to quit a game before it starts?

You can also hit the home button and select any game on your home screen, even if you don’t have the disc in. It will attempt to get into that game and quit Halo simultaneously… Just do it before the countdown.

I know right. So sick of these broken poop maps coming around on rotation more than the good ones.
Like the op said, how recurve even made it onto matchmaking is beyond me. Map looks and plays like some noob put it together with a friend at a sleepover.

Read my mind! But seriously sometimes the map rotation thing sometimes gets pretty old. Once played on Molten twice in three consecutive slayer matches!

Yeah, I’ve heard that before. If you can’t back out I’ll be seeing you at some point.
