Every other vehical gets better as you progress from standard to corp to tundra to oni but for some reasone when you use an oni gungoose it feels worse to me than a standard gungoose.
Someone decided to make the rocket launches have some serious loob to them making aiming difficult and to make things harder the shots dont explode on contact they bounce.
Ill give 343 that it has more health but no one dies on a gungoose because it takes to many hits they die because they get shot off.
It just seems weird that the gungoose is the only vehical the decided to kinda nerf as it gets stronger
The ONI version is better because you can bounce the grenades of walls and around corners. The grenades bounces can be somewhat annoying because if you slightly miss the target they don’t explode but I find once you learn to use it properly it’s great, and they do explode on contact if they actually hit the target. Set up in the fortress on Stormbreak and you’ll se what I’m talking about with the bounce, lots of opportunities there.
Id rather have explode on impact grenades just because theres nothing more annoying than missing your enemy by an inch and watching those grenade fly away not dealing any damage and knowing it would have been a kill with a normal gungoose
Well yeah, but the ONI grenades also give you better range, you can skip them into a group of enemies and even if you miss the first one it’ll give you a chance at another guy. Honestly it just takes skill, either you’ve got it or you haven’t.
It would be nice to have a proximity fuse on them though. But if you prefer contact fuse I guess just use the other ones, as you said, the extra armor doesn’t really help much anyway.
The oni gungoose and oni scorpion are absolutely horrible for people who hit with splash damage. Their next variant down is significantly more reliable than those pin ball machines.

Strange, never had much issue with the ONI scorpion myself. The splash is still the same isn’t it, just a faster projectile.
I agree with the OP, the ONI gungoose is the worst of the gungeese. Shots that would kill people if fired from a generic gungoose don’t kill from the ONI, and the grenade bouncing is not even close to valuable enough to make up for it, IMO. Proximity fuses, as mentioned in this thread, would make the ONI gungoose the best of the gungeese.
