Why can’t we make more units? Like 200, or 250?
A 120 unit cap seems pretty low for next gen hardware.
Would this cause performance issues or blalance issues?

I would think it would cause performance issues, but I don’t know 100%
performance… it could be stuttering with 3vs3 incl leader powers.
ppl are nowadays anyway really whiny and i bet this would trigger a lot of complains from fps-freaks and xbone users.
another point could be the view and the low zoom-level.
one could say the low zoom-level exists only because of the performance, so it seems to be an circulation.
Would be nice if they allow 150-200 cap in 1v1.
The XBox One really isn’t that powerful… nor does it run 60 FPS or such that implies you could just throw more units on screen.
But there’s more than just hardware that goes into that kind of decision anyway, it effects how the maps are designed, how powerful the bases/defense have to be, how fast/slow the games play out, etc. I think HW2s cap is fine personally. Maybe 150 or such minor increase but it doesn’t need double, triple etc.
Let’s do the math.
(Six Leaders in a 3v3 game) x (250 units each) = ?
6 x 250 = 1500
A maximum of 1500 units on the battlefield spraying projectiles everywhere as well as navigating terrain. This would be so monstrously laggy I don’t think it would be feasible.
(Population Cap) / (Population required for Scarab) = (Number of Scarabs)
250 / 40 = 6 R 20
SIX Scarabs. With space to spare. GAAAAAAH!
I honestly find the current population cap to be pretty good. I don’t think it needs an increase.

I kind’ve agree with you actually, you know why? a 120 pop might look good compared to Halo Wars 1, but remember, they upped the pop value for every unit, so technically, this population is either on par with Halo Wars 1, or slightly below due to the math.
It might cause performance issue but I’m not sure, I definitely agree with you if you support upping the pop, or atleast lowering every unit’s to what they were in Halo Wars 1!
My guess is performance. If the cap was 120 deliberately then why just 6 player limit? It’s definitely performance.
I’m OK with 120, I almost never get to 120.

Oh god, 6 Scarabs per person with 6 people and everyone being Banished…that’s 36 Scarabs xD
