Is there a one-stop location?...

I’m getting Halo Reach in a few days and I’ve been noticing in various forums that Bungie punishes certain online behavior. Is there a one-stop post/loacation where I can find out all the punishable offenses and the consequences?

umm

dont standby
dont quit alot
dont betray your teammates (on purpose) especially for weapons they made it to first
dont use mod gear (the infamous rapid fire moded controller is the latest)

Play the game the way it was meant to be played

Can they finally detect those modded controllers? If so, then good.

Yes, they can.
Also, don’t network manipulate. Meaning don’t try to reset your challenges (assuming you know how to do it).

Here ya go.

The easiest way to remember is don’t be a jerk, and don’t listen to Bnet forum users.

Types of violation include, but are not limited to, the following example actions:

Manipulating network conditions to give yourself an advantage, or to the detriment of the experience for other players.

Modifying your Xbox 360 hardware or Bungie software and services in any way.

Skill, EXP, or Credit Boosting, deleveling, idling through games, cheating, habitual quitting or any other type of unsociable and unsportsmanlike behavior.

Impersonating a Bungie employee on Xbox LIVE with intent to defraud or cause harm to other players.

The following things will not result in a visit from the Banhammer:

Lag (poor or intermittent network performance).

Occasional disconnects due to inconsistent network conditions.

Playing with the same group of friends over and over using the party system as long as this is not for the purpose of boosting.

Losing games over and over again as long as this is not for the purpose of boosting.

Winning games over and over again as long as this is not for the purpose of boosting.

Being polite, courteous and refraining from hate-speech and racial slurs.

So really, just play fair, be mature and don’t cheat.
