Ever since Tuesday I cannot seem to get a kill. My crosshair can be on a players head and I completely miss. It’s getting really frustrating when every single time I get the jump on a player I still lose.
So is there some handicap toggle I’ve accidentally turned on? Because there’s no way I’ve gone from decent to completely trash over night.
I think you’ve gone from decent to completely trash over night. It happens to me all the time too! Much more on Halo 5 than any other game.

-Yoink!- put out a controller patch a few weeks back to fix a diagonal slow aim bug with H5, 343i put out the update on 24/11 and since then many people have been reporting the same problem as you

Great, guess I should just put the game down till they fix that. Thing is it feels like I’m not doing the same damage as other players as well. I get the jump on a player with my AR and I’m not missing a single shot and they some how still reversal me with their AR. Even matchup weapons it’s like my TTK isn’t the same as other players

It’s not that I’m even missing. I’ve been watching my replays in theater and it’s incredible. I get the jump and their health barely budged. I’m not missing I’m just tickling them. Then they use the exact same weapon and their time to kill is normal.

It would be a combination of your internet speeds and your connection to the server as well as your ping and server location
For instance if you are in EU and getting matched on US servers you’re gonna have a bad time

Theater mode is incredibly inaccurate, at this point. Hopefully they fix it soon.

I’m a US player. It’s a night and day difference from last week to this week. Last week I unlocked the kill streak req pack this week I can’t even win a 1on1 where I get the jump.
I feel like my sensitivity goes way up for no reason at times. even lowered it and it still seems off the wall fast for no reason at times.

That would be the aim acceleration
343i set up the aiming mechanic to have two different turn values incorporated into the right thumbstick
So essentially what this means is that from 0% - 40% radius in the thumbstick is for precision aiming and from 41% - 100% is turn mode
turn mode is significantly faster than the precision aiming mode so if you accidently slip to 41% radius while trying to precision aim you will most likely go all over the place with your aim
(Please not that the values are not actual numbers and only used as a for instance as I am unsure of the actual numerical percentage values for both aiming modes)

Yup the update on 11/24 and possibly an update to the Xbox one controller has made the game completely unplayable for many people. Still no response from 343 or Microsoft.
