Is halo wars 2 for sure going to happen?

Well, it’s gonna be more intese for what we could see on the trailer. It’s not like you can see Red Team in a whole world of hurt everyday.
You can’t really determine much from that trailer aside from some character appearances. It in now way showed or dropped hints as to game-play.

…and games have been cancelled after initial CG announcements, but that has never happened with a major Halo flagship title. So I wouldn’t worry

I wouldn’t also worry about canceling because a lot of people have been waiting for this to happen for a long time

“Not for sure” in the same way that Halo 5 isn’t for sure.
It has been officially announced for release in 2016 by Microsoft. It has a major developer working on it right now. Games announced/published by Microsoft rarely get cancelled. Especially games of established series.
