is there a community for custom games??

Hi, in Halo 2 I used to have so many friends on xbox that they would just randomly join my “glitches” custom game and eventually we would have 16 people and I’d host classic zombies, power tower, cops and robbers, hide and go seek etc. Real different, change of pace game-types. Anyway, I’ve spent many hours on forge making some really cool maps but I don’t have nearly the same peer support in Halo 4. I often can’t get any more than 5 or so in a custom game. Especially considering no one seems to use mikes online anymore it has been difficult finding new players to mess around and test my maps out with. My most recent in particular is a monstrous, unique CTF map I made on Forge Island, but it is not really playable unless you have at least 8 or so players. please help me out as I have grown bored beating up on people in matchmaking :frowning:

join up to the halo council forums - those guys play a lot of customs.

you could try at the Recruiting Forums-Click Here there you can find people to play with

Try http://halocustoms.com/

They host game nights regularly and have places where you can tell people about your maps & gametypes.

Beat me to it.
OP, if you check out the link above you’ll find a huge community for customs and even make a few friends.

This may be a bit off-topic, but I think that the Super Happy Fun Slide (can be found in my file share, I didn’t create it) is an extremely fun custom game, and should join the usual list of “classics,” IMO. I’d like to suggest it to you, OP, especially if you do really love customs.

really appreciate the awesome replies everyone! I will definitely check those places out! And that map/game suggestion sounds awesome is there a way to see the rules for it or is it pretty self-explanatory to figure out?

It’s pretty simple, the Flood spawn with gravity hammers + a random weapon, and the survivors start with Warthogs (the turret isn’t usable) and mongooses, so basically, the survivors try to ram the Flood, while the Flood try to flip them over/launch them out of the map.

It’s really fun, even though I’ve never done it with more than 4-6 people, because like you said, there aren’t many people doing customs anymore :frowning:

yeah its a darn shame. One would think that it would be easier to make/play custom games 10 years later but instead its much harder to get people on board! feel free to add me I’m almost always down for random games when I’m on
