So before I get into this discussion I want it noted this is not a PC vs Console post. Dont bring that here.
So I was over a mate of mine and he was playing infinite, he offered me to join and I said no because I can use the keys (hes on pc and while I’m great at aiming with the mouse I hate using the keys to move and find the adjusting difficult) turns out he had a controller and I ended up playing and having a blast taking turns etc.
Get home to my console to play and feel like my aim assist is different so are there issues with it?
Notes:
ping each match was roughly the same
Using the same few weapons
Didnt notice a whole lot difference performance wise.
Both have wired connection
Yes, there is an aim assist bug. Aim assist just doesn’t work majority of the time. It will also sometimes pick up where a player was previously rather then where the player is currently. That’s cause by a communication latency issue with the servers. This issues is usually noticed when your aim just randomly snaps off target. Example. If a person is jumping from right to left the game will sometimes detect the person prior to their jump and snap to where they jumped from rather then where they currently landed.
I’ve started to muck around with the FOV, deadzones etc. etc. etc, etc. to see if that helps. I have seen a small improvement. BUT, there has also been a lot of posts, across a lot of threads, that many players feel that something is definitely not right with the aim-assist.
