Would someone please take the time to explain how the battle rifle works? People have hit me three or four times with that at any distance and I drop quickly. However when I use it I feel like I am pressing the trigger more than anyone else! Do you have to aim for the head when you’re close? Well what about far away? Isn’t it kind of a poor choice for Covenant? If someone is far away I think I’m okay at using the dmr gun and aiming for their head. When they get a little closer I don’t know if I get nervous or what but I am not very precise at aiming. I think I am better off using an assault rifle. I always notice the message at the bottom that reads: “spray and pray” …that sounds about right.
i typically shoot enemies until they die.

oh… really >.>
The DMR is meant for mid/long range shooting, the Battle Rifle is more effective in mid/close range. BR is most effective if you’re good at pulling off headshots.
But for real close range combat your best bet is the Assault Rifle/Storm Rifle/Suppressor.

I’m no BR expert.
People have not dropped you with 3 or 4 hits if you were full shield. It takes 5 connecting shots to finish you with the BR. Perhaps they were team shooting you.
As for tips, use the DMR at long range, and the BR mid to mid/short range. Although in actual fact the DMR is pretty beast at all ranges, but they’ll be nerfing that soon so you might as well get used to the BR.
Shoot for the body until their shields pop, then go for the head. Use BR in SWAT unless it’s a big map like complex, it fires 3 bullets so there’s more chance of getting a headshot.

This is possibly the best piece of advice anyone could possibly give.
If the enemies appear to be killing you in 3-4 shots, you may have a bad connection to the host. In reality you are being hit 5 times, but lag causes you to not register the fact that you are being shot until a moment later when 1 or two shots have already hit you.
Add my xbox live gamertag, or I can just shoot you one later.
I’ll teach you the most important decisions about BR in-fighting.
As simple as this is going to sound but, as long as you get all 3 of your bullets in 1 burst to hit an enemy it kills fairly quickly when i use it. I love and missed the BR and as long as you work with it, its also a better finishing gun then the DMR. If anyone ever wants to play hmu
I’m also no expert at BR, but at longer ranges you should lead your shots, conpensate a bit for the recoil and such, good luck with that, also ¿what level of sensitivity are you using?
I’m not expert, but the BR annoyed me to no end in H3. I’m glad that H4 has a more robust sandbox to play with. Even with a nerfed DMR I think would prefer it to the BR.
My advice when getting owned by the BR? Take cover, regroup, and don’t leave yourself exposed. Sorry but that’s all I got
If you have trouble getting kills, please for the love of God do not use the DMR. Do not stoop to their level you’re better than that!
Since the Battle has a 3 shot burst that spreads it is best to fire the first four shots at their body to drop their shields then the final 5th shot at their head for the kill.
Don’t miss. It isn’t difficult, unless of course, the enemies are using DMRs.
Skills for kills agent…
Skills for kills…
Sorry, I needed to say that.
Seriously though,
I find that the key to a positive K/D which is important to me at least, is to control your engagements.
No 2 on 1 instead you have increased damage or can snap off two head shots.
Stay with your team in BTB.
And just enjoy the game
Also if your accuracy is lacking http://www.kontrolfreek.com/ i just recently bought a pair of these and they greatly improve your accuracy with the BR and DMR
Stay away from long distance battles with the BR. If the reticle isn’t red, you’re just wasting ammo.
