Is ther already and answer explaning 117 armor in halo 4

is there or do any of you have a ( reasonable ) theory about the armor change in halo 4 or is that question still un-answerd ?

because changing it i think was a wrong step to begin the game with but we haven’t seen anything !

( but it loosens the conection with halo 3 and you do call the game halo 4 )

but if you realy need to change the armor 343 maybe let the player see it change over the course by means of fighting or survival ?

i would like to see the chief doing more ( normal ) tasks like finding food and water en shelter making him more of a human than a cyborg

what do you guy’s think ?

First, the trailer wasn’t canon I believe. Second, I heard somewhere that Frankie said that it will be explained during the story how his armor changed. Also, he said that it isn’t his first time he left the cryo-tube. And last but not least, this isn’t Minecraft to build shelter and find food and water. This shall never happen. Have a nice day sir.

There’s been no specifics but Frank has even said that there’s a reason behind it and he also has noted that the armor HAS changed in each game. Not sure how it works with Mk VI but Mk VII can slightly upgrade and repair while in stasis/cryo.

Could just be a new refined look for 343’s take on the Chief. We’ll find out within the year.

There’s rarely been anything on Chief “gathering food or finding water” b/c to be honest, that’s not interesting in terms of Chief. Chief is a fighter and a soldier. Not Bear Grylls.

thanks but i meant that he does not shoot up the place all the time because that would be boring like halo ce he has things to find out about the istallation i hope to see that again with halo 4

to deadpool psycko

I think you’r right it wouldn’t be master chief any more

but only being with cortana to help him i think a new Friend for 117 would be cool

or at least someone who does not whant to kill him

The trailer isn’t canon. It’s just showing that:

A - There is a new Halo game.

B - The Chief is back with new armour and weapons.

C - Cortana is back.

D - They are heading towards the Legendary planet.

I think Chief will start with the Mark VI Armour, meet the Spartan IVs and be given Mark VII Armour.

It’s just a cosmetic change, no need to get hyped up, it only implied that in the new trilogy chief would be different both physically and mentally.

His Halo 4 and halo 3 armor

His armor scars are the same

Even though it’s just a non-canon CGI teaser, the armour looks too different to be Mark VI. It’s probably Mark VII or close to what Mark VII will look like.

From what I’ve heard, there is going to be an explanation as to why S117’s armour has changed.

I could have sworn at Halofest someone on the pannel said it is the MkVI in the teaser, and that its just a “fresh take” on it. (kind of like how the Halo2/Halo3 MkVI is the same but actually have some differences) EDIT: I just listned to the Sparkast that someone linked and FRANK SAID “IT IS DEFINITLY A PART OF THE REAL GAME STORY” so the teaser should be considered canon

Even if Chief HAS left the cryo tube since the events of Halo 3…he has not gone to earth and changed his Armor. It’s not something you can just FedEx to the Forward Unto Dawn, you know?

Not to mention, the MK VII is akin to the Iron Man armor in the movies. It would have to literally be put on him via machinery.

He’s still in the MK VI. It’s just either, as I said, a self-upgrading system or just a fresh take.

“Frank O’Connor has confirmed that the events depicted in the trailer are “definitely not a part of the real game story” and that the trailer is intended as a teaser only.”

Like I said, it’s a CGI teaser trailer. It’s probably just showing what his armour will look like later on in the game. He’ll probably start with the Mark VI in Cryo and change it in the first couple of missions. Frankie did say that some things will look different because it’s a new game, but he didn’t say that it was Mark VI armour.

If I remember correctly, it’s been said that SOME of the armour changes will be explained in the story, while a lot of it is just creative freedom taken by the team to make Halo 4 their own baby. Remember, this isn’t Bungie anymore, so things aren’t going to be the same as they were with them.

Take a look at the Warthog or the Forward Unto Dawn for example, both are vastly different from the last time we’ve seen them , and the same should be expected from everything else we see in Halo 4.

That’s the point !

if they will change the aft section of forward until dawn i don’t think you should call this halo anymore

it will be to diverent , i can live with the armor change but not with half a space ship chaging that just too big !

We don’t know what the full interior of a Frigate is like, apart from what we saw in Halo 3, they can change whatever they like.

But once again, the teaser is JUST a teaser, it’s non-canon.

i’m talking about the Exterior of the ship you can see it has big chages but it is indeed just a teaser so í will wait till the game come’s out before i juge 343

( they did a great job on HALO combat evolved anniversary !!! )

teasers are not canon, i remember this happening different in Halo 3 so the same could happen with the Halo 4 teaser

It has been in space for many years as far as we know so that could be a viable response.

in halo glasslands when they are refering to naomi (i think) they say that the suit is nano technology and it upgrades its self while in cryo.

am i the only one who read glass lands?
