Now it mostly works, I suppose. Sadly you can’t record from theater so I use upload theater. I finally accomplished a super nova assassination. But the cool part was since we were in the moving shipping container his hand got stuck in the roof of it after words so I could use his dead body as a punching bag… it was sweet… jump into theater to get the clip and his dead body doesn’t hang from the roof… ugh… so sad.
Guess I need a kinetic so I can just say Xbox record that… but then I even wonder would I get a recording of what actually happened or would it be like theater and be something different.
I’m not holding my breath.
As optimistic I am about some things, I don’t feel Theater will ever be fully fixed up for Halo 5. Which is a shame when you’re browsing through longer videos and the game keeps shuffling between players without warning, etc etc. I know I can just use my capture device to record a full game as I’m playing it, but you can’t see things through other player’s perspectives or from other angles except for in Theater, so… Yeah.
Just sad I will never be able to relive that moment when I got to beat some one like a slab of beef from Rocky as they hung there by one arm… especially after a super nova assassination.
I would love for theater to be able to record clips again and view a film with a party and not just alone. If halo 3 could do it, why can’t halo 5?

May give that a try next time I want to record something. But never though that after assassinations dead bodies wouldn’t do as they did in the game especially since I was hitting it.

That should work, that’s how I record my clips.

This will work. May want to go into settings to adjust the default recording time. Default is 30 seconds.

Because Microsoft wants to promote its unified DVR feature and 343 is happy to let them do the work.
I want to try and be a bit competitive but I just can’t put my self looking at theater. So many times does it change Spartans on its own and it only gets more difficult to find my self.

Oh I hate that too. It automatically changes to some one else on its own sometimes and usually doesn’t even start with your Spartan.
I don’t think they are going to fix it.
