Once you get the 250k you can quit.

I did it in just under an hour.
New Alexandria
All skulls but mythic and iron.
Legendary
Phantoms for 11,740
Banshees for 1,425
New Alexandria, did it in 50 minutes.
Heroic, All skulls except Iron and Black Eye.
Be efficient and scope out Phantoms from far off as they are the most points!

New Alexandria, shoot down the unlimited Banshee’s and Phantom’s you will be good to go.
Set up for Heroic, like a LASO, minus the Black-eye, and the multiplier will get you there. It just takes some time.
Took me about an hour on ONI. I used legendary and set some skulls, do not recall which ones. I was getting 6000 per Phantom kill with the wraith. The hardest part for me is clearing out the courtyard.
If one does it on New Alexandria there is also the Waypoint Custom Challenge “Beautiful Irony” which can net one an extra 10000cr for 100 banshee kills. Beautiful Irony must be completed by 02/14/2012 11:59PM per the http://halo.xbox.com/blogs/Headlines/post/2012/02/08/The-Halo-Bulletin-2812.aspx
