Is the UNSC Shotgun returning?

Ive seen the scattershot in gameplay (which looks and shoots very familiar to the unsc shotty). i was wondering if 343i has said anything about the UNSC shotgun coming back or being completely replaced by the scatterhot.

But this video’s shotgun looks to be a placeholder. Its the exact same model from reach. I mean, even the DMR has been edited since Reach, why shouldnt the shotgun?

Yes, it is a placeholder. Don’t worry, the Shotgun will be back, now we have three close combat weapons (Shotgun, Sword, Scrattershot) in the game.
