I still haven’t played the game on my account. I reinstalled again for about the 8th time since the game’s release and see FINALLY there is a new option available to play without signing in… but…
I just don’t understand how I fail to log-in to the game. I can log in to my marketplace app, on my windows 8 PC, using my account information successfully. I have never had any other accounts on my PC. I do not have a W8 phone or tablet.
I tried the following:
--------- logging in to xbox.com (some said that might help on another forum)
--------- uninstalling/reinstalling multiple times
--------- logging out/in to marketplace AND Games app.
When i go to my games app i can see my avatar and send messages to my xbox live friends, and when I’m in my marketplace it says that I’m logged in there as well.
The error occurring says that i must be logged in to the same account that i used to purchase the game. It directs me to go sign in to marketplace, then if that fails to reinstall. I tried going to the marketplace, then leaving the app running while i went to the games app and ran the game. No cigar.
So… Working on that sign-in process still? If i play without signing in i might as well go play contra on the NES… where u start the game over all the time cuz u can’t save. LOL. Love that game tho…
Just a reminder but bumps are against the rules.

Help must be against the rules too, which is probably why bumps are outlawed. Funny that i can’t get anyone to say anything but then when i bump i can get a reply.

Also, i have received no help. Which is why i’m asking again. There is no help in the gaming support. I should be paid for how much i tried to fix the problem, and how much time and effort i put into trying to diagnose a broken game. Check for 7.99 and whatever at least 6 hours of time amounts to. Thanks.
Any news on this problem? Just installed this game on my new Win 8 PC and it keeps saying “Sorry we can’t sign you in…”"
If you are having trouble logging into your account from your Windows 8 PC, you will need to contact Xbox Support.
Nice loophole. They told me they didn’t know what the problem was, and that it was the game’s issue.
and i’m NOT having a problem connecting to my account! obviously i was able to purchase the game and log into my account on my “games” app… so it IS the game, not microsoft. Every other microsoft game for W8 works fine. Just not this one.
We discussed this issue with Xbox Support today and have found that this issue is something they would be best suited to handle. We understand your frustration with being bounced between the two–that shouldn’t be something you have to deal with.
