At outpost tremonius theres wreckage of the infinity and cannons on the top of it you used to be able to go to the cannon and it would let you pick the cannon up as a weapon (youtube halo infinte scorpion gun) 343 should leave it in as a fun item like scarab gun in halo 2! Dont remove this confirmed “glitch”

Hopefully they can add it back with a disclaimer that it will disable achievements. I get it wasn’t intended, but it was cool either way. I understand it made achievements too easy to get, but disabling them is a fix.

Its the fact that lots of people have managed to use it to complete campign LASO difficulty and get there achievements but now people who were to laye to do this wont get a chance just annoys me that there stopping players being able to use it and fun just so people cant get a achievement or 2! Its not like we can rob them out of money or anything just 2 maybe 3 achievements max!

All things considered, it would be the similar to dragging the scarab gun in Halo 2 through the whole game. But this Easter Egg is intentional, and only available on one level and is incredibly difficult to obtain.
Unfortunately because the game is open world, and that the scorpion turret is a glitch rather than an intended feature, it functions as an exploit.
I understand it adds to the fun and makes things easier, and I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but it’s a bug and it does exploit the system.

So they plan to just screw the rest of us over since I doubt they will take the achievements away from anyone who earned it that way. That’s a big slap in the face since I’ve already had to go through the campaign twice just to get all the skulls because they can’t let us replay specific missions.

Yup. Just used a save file I had at level 3 so I ran over to see if the gun was patched out. It is not.
Ske7ch confirmed it to be a glitch. However there has been no word about it being kept in or patched out. Remember BxR was a glitch too and they kept that in.
I would say if you are afaird that this gun will be patched out. Hurry up and do you Laso runs now. TBH having rockets with infinite ammo still makes this run easy so no reason to worry about not getting LASO done.
I do hope they keep this gun in just because it is pretty cool and in the spirit of Halo.

Just make sure you’re on the level Outpost Tremonious, shortly after you have defeated that boss, to get that tank gun. I don’t think that it will appear if you try to get it at any point in the game after leaving that outpost in a pelican.

GOOD they should also take away people’s LASO achievement whoever used the scarab gun because they cheated taking advantage of a unintended glitch.
No need to be so hyped up there; they haven’t even patched the tank gun out of the game yet (campaign’s rarely get patched nowadays). This post is literally fearmongering at best to those that haven’t even gotten the Headmaster achievement yet.
Also guys, there is no LASO; not with the Bandana skull canceling out the effects of the Famine skull. I guess it’s already a total joke right there.

I am not surprised and I am glad it’s gone.
It really cheapened the experience too much, considering you basically had Bandana already to fuel your Power Weapon shenanigans.
True. You may not have a scorpion gun with infinite ammo but you still have rockets, sniper and grenades with infinite ammo.
It’s hard, but compared to all other LASO achievements this is a joke. I’ve done it twice at this point just because the first time I cheesed it.
IMO they should just keep the gun as a fun Easter Egg. Mainly because the Bandanna skull already makes doing anything super easy and cheesy.
You are aware that finishing the LASOs in MCC involves about 300 glitches to speedrun sections, despawn enemies, etc etc. Cheesing is part of LASO. Especially SLASO.

This is actually stupid. Why couldn’t they just leave the good part as is? That was going to be my best shot at completing LASO, now I’ll probably never get the achievement. Jeez 343, why do you guys have to do the things that we don’t want you to do, and not do the things that we actually want you to do?

screw it, spam the Halo Waypoint forums, flood the reddit pages, create tickets on Halo Support, this bug deserves it’s place in Halo Infinite. It’s the spiritual successor to the Halo 2 Scarab Gun. It’s BS that 343 is patching it out and ignoring the things that we want them to do.
