Has any one ever unlocked this medal, or is the medal broken and I just didn’t know. The requirement is “Damage an enemy before they fall to their death”. I know I have done this but have yet to unlock the medal. Any ideas?

I’ve gotten a few of them. You have to damage an opponent before they glitch through the map to get the medal presently.

It is theoretically possible to unlock this medal. Using a weird setup in forge I accelerated the Spartan to a ludicrous speed using teleporters and took a decent chunk of fall damage upon hitting the ground. If you jump from high enough, you do take fall damage as well. Conveniently, no maps have an area where you can jump from this height.
I think you have to hit someone just before they cross the kill barrier off a map. Then again, this can be argued.

Yeah, me too. I really only thought about again today because all the newbies who kill themselves on Damnation on the throwback playlist. I have only played the map 3 times, but got at least 10 kills from people jumping off.

First one I got was by lightly damaging a hijacker on my Wraith. After he blew me up, the animation deposited him underneath the ground and murdered him. Sayonara!

This is what I thought, just like most of the specific weapon kill medals can only be obtained in Warzone. Unfortunately none of the Warzone maps present a lot of opportunities to melee someone before they’ll fall off the map.
I discovered a 100% way to make the sayonara medal.

That’s gotta be specific to that location because I’ve done that plenty of times and never gotten the medal.

I’ve done it on Guillotine- the Halo 2 remake map, but it’s a silly medal. The enemy is not allowed to get out of the warthog for example.

Oh, maybe that’s it then. Never paid attention if they jump out before hitting the kill zone.
