Is the next Halo Actually Halo 5?

Think about it. It seems fishy that 343 leaves the next Halo on Xbox One untitled. Also after watching the trailer and reading a few articles, I’m starting to doubt the upcoming Halo title is Halo 5. What does everyone else think?

I think its Halo 5 and that 343i are using a strange hype method.

It could end up be a subtitled game. I know the main story-line games are numbered but that isn’t necessarily set in stone.

I doubt it’s some sort of method to hype the community because I’m sure as hell tired of it by now. I believe we’ll definitely get the title at E3, though.

If it continues the story of Halo 4 and Spartan ops I will see it as Halo 5 no matter what they would name it. Unless it is a sidestory.

But I do think that the next one will be Halo 5

Halo 5, Halo 6 is already confirmed too so heh. We’ve seriously put too much thought into the name.

The trailer wasn’t even specific to one game…

If it’s a sequel to Halo 4? Yes, it is Halo 5, no matter what they want to call it.

If it’s a remake or spinoff game? Then I guess it isn’t Halo 5.

Either they’re planning to drop the numbers and just give subtitles, or its going to be like Assassin’s Creed where they do interim games that move the story forward slightly then a numbered title which has major impacts.

My guesses, anyways.

I still hope it’s H2A, but it’s anyones guess at this point. Seriously, H2A and Battlefront III…

If the cloak Chief trailer is for the the next game, I’m pretty sure it’s Halo 5. The trailer even has a big number 5 on the sand under the Halo logo at the end. I know it’s the shadow of L and O but when they are put together it makes 5.

But what we don’t know if that trailer even is for the next Halo game

It’s the next main installment for sure, but 343 may possibly want to forgo the numbers and start using subtitles.

I think it’s gonna be called Halo 5, I just don’t see the point to put a shadow for the Halo logo with a shape of 5. But we will see.

No one knows but 343 and Microsoft.

It’s probably either going to be Halo 2 Anniversary or Halo 5. I’m sure E3 this year is most likely going to be large for Halo.

Didn’t they just come out and say they were dropping the numbers and going with “Reclaimer Saga?” That way they could get out of the trilogy thing and just make as many games as they need to tell a story.

After Halo 4 we might get Halo 4-2 then Halo 4: John returns and then Halo versus 4 will be renamed Halo 5.

They said they were expanding it beyond a trilogy and making it into a saga. I imagine they’re going to make they major installments first and then make the spin offs. I would find it odd if they decided this far into the franchise to drop the number in the major installments.

Well the trailer was essentially talking about all of Halo, but yes, I do believe that it is Halo 5…many people have said statements of it being halo 5 only to correct it later on… I’m suspicious nevertheless.
Anyhow, it is a new fps Halo game…so I just hope that they don’t mess over the title right now!

Was Halo CEA announced at E3 back in 2011? if that was the case then maybe they are waiting for E3 to announce H2A with a beta key for Halo 5’s MP and maybe they will end their conference with a teaser for Halo 5.
I can’t wait for E3, just 2 more months and a few days.

H2A seems unlikely, especially because this game will showcase the power of the Xbox One, and a game made 10 years ago with rehashed graphics wouldn’t do that very well.

Halo 5 is what I’m going with.

Halo 2 Anniversary could easily showcase the Xbox One’s graphical power, I don’t see any issue there. And then, they could take an extra year to make Halo 5, to make sure it really does live up to expectations.
