Is The New Wrath Armor Darker?

Does the new Wrath armor (Anhur) have the darker color palette? Literally the only thing I don’t like about wrath right now is how it’s darker than most of the armors in the game. It leads to really awkward looking spartans. So, does the new Wrath armor have this same effect? I really want to wear the Wrath torso, but the mis-matching armor drives me crazy. What makes this worse is sometimes the colors match well and it looks BEAUTIFUL.

Unfortunately, it does. I agree though, the only reason that I don’t use the Wrath armour is because it’s darker, so it doesn’t go with the helmet that I’m using. I don’t understand why 343i decided to make the colour different like this…

I just figure they were like “Crap, the armor in Reach was way darker. Screw it, we’ll make these armors unusable with others for some reason.” When they could have just made the colors for all armor darker.

Yeah, that sounds like 343i logic to me. They did the same with Vigilant as well, making the shades of colours on that armour a bit more gritty and faded, like in Reach. So when I wanted to use, say, the Indomitable helmet and vigilant body, it looks odd.

It’s almost as though 343i doesn’t want us to customize our Spartans…

I kinda does seem so… Have you also noticed how the stripe on the top of Mk IV is way darker than the other stripes on the armor? Like, the chest stripe will be crimson, and the helmet stripe will look blood red. I don’t see why these things happen.

I have noticed that, yeah! It’s a tad annoying, since again, it really messes up the look of my armour! The same thing happens with the Noble armour, which was my armour up until I unlocked Wrath. I couldn’t use any helmets that I wanted with it, since their secondary colour was normal, bu the armour’s is darker.

Honestly, this is one of the most illogical decisions I’ve seen on 343i’s part. It makes no sense.

Mk VI Gen 1. Too. Way too many armors are suffering from this evidently. I don’t see why they don’t just make the colors for all armors darker instead of ruining a few.

That would just make too much sense, which is against the way 343i does things.

Yep.
