Is the Mute All problem still not fixed?

I started streaming yesterday and therefore started using a headset with the mic turned on, mainly to be able to communicate with the stream chat.

To not disturb anyone in the lobby/team I selected the Mute All option but a few games in I started hearing mic noises from people. Also, I saw the loudspeaker icon going on and off repeatedly for certain players in the lobby screen (or whatever it’s called).

I have read that this used to be a glitch in the Mute All functionality and now I wonder if this issue still persists? If so, is the “solution” still to start a party (consisting of just myself)?

Not only is it irritating to hear random noises when playing but even worse is that my stream chat (or background noise) could disturb the other players in the game.

I haven’t heard of this glitch, but I can confirm the Mute All works for me. I’ve had it turned on for a month and haven’t heard anyone. I’m not streaming.

Thanks for the reply.

We’ll see if it happens again. If so, I’ll try to record it.

I have encountered this only a few times but it does happen.

Definitely seems like 343 has just stopped fixing bugs in h5.

The problem is that it only mutes the people in the lobby when you decide to mute everyone. If someone quits, and a new person joins they haven’t been muted. Or at least that’s what seems to happen to me. If I mute everyone in an Arena game, they stay muted. If I mute everyone in a game of Warzone Firefight I still hear noises from people that have joined later on in the game.

Yeah, that’s basically my experience too.

I tried to Unmute All and then Mute All again (thinking it was noise from a new player that joined later) but it didn’t seem to help.

Hopefully nobody should hear me at least as long as I remember to Mute All (unless I join a match late(?)).

Hard to say…I haven’t even heard any one on the mic in H5 in probably over a year. I don’t think any one even uses them any more.

Still happens to me occasionally, like one of the other responders said it seems to be anyone joining the lobby after you, I still love the sound of some bloke munching on his crisps pre game or mum yelling at junior in the background, good times indeed

I have a junior of my own so that’s another reason I want to make sure my mic is muted.

I set my mic to off (to avoid my background noise to be caught on stream) and suddenly I couldn’t mute anyone, even though the option Mute All was there.

It was horrible.

Please, 343. Fix this.
