It is $40 more for a steel case and “exclusive content”…and we don’t even know what this “exclusive content” is. Do you think they will reveal it or should I just go ahead and pre-order the standard edition?
It’s your call, really. Until we know what exactly we’ll be getting in each edition, nobody can say for sure if it’s worth it or not. And again, that’s all subjective anyway.
I, for one, pre-ordered the limited edition, and I doubt that I’ll be disappointed.
Considering that TheElderScrolls: Tamriel Unlmited was only $99 and came with a 12’ statue, 250 page book, steel case, and a full size map I’d say you are getting ripped off by the content given in the LE and LCE.
Though any hardcore Halo fan would buy it regardless. So to each their own.
Honestly… if it is just paper with text and in-game armor, then it isn’t.
If it has something bigger, like a making-of vidoc or Cortana Chip or similar things, then it might be worth it.
I intend on buying the 250$ version, but I am doubting the value of that one as well. I hope it will be a big -Yoink- statue. But the 343i panel at E3 is on Wednesday. They will more than likely reveal it there. So wait until Wednesday to decide for yourself.
The limited edition is worth it, that’s what I think. Like the Reach limited edition there was interesting thing inside the box. Extra content and some things that made the game for interesting and easy to understand. Maybe the limited edition will be worth it.

The Halsey journal itself made it worth the money. The design and entertainment was great.
