I’ve tried this thing across several FFA games, and it feels like a gimped BR. It’s outclassed by practically every loadout weapon, including automatics and sidearms. Is this gun any good, or am I just doing it wrong?

I find the Light rifle to not to great in FFA (automatic is better suited due to usually rather cqb) but for BTB or any other playlist it’s great and is actually my favorite weapon to use.
Long range and zoomed in, it’s very good.
It’s a slightly worse BR close range but it’s by far the best mid/long range starting weapon. That being said, it isn’t very good in FFA.
Unzoomed it’s horrible, zoomed in it’s amazing.
Honestly, it kind of sucks unless you’re zoomed in. The burst fire on it doesn’t do enough damage to be a replacement for the Battle Rifle.
That’s why I have a class with a Light Rifle and a Battle Rifle.

They kill in the same amount of shots though. The only thing is that the LR has a slower rate of fire, increasing its unscoped killtime in comparison to the BR
