Nope, Chief is very much alive. We’ll be playing as him in Halo Infinite when it releases December 8th

If you actually clicked on the article you would know it’s from 2017 and was one of the trailers of the Hunt the Truth marketing campaign.

The Master Chief will only ever die if the writers want him to, but thankfully it seems as if he will be living into the future given his role as the main character in Halo Infinite.

Not yet! The Hunt The Truth marketing teased the idea years ago, but no.

I think if he was going to die in Infinite, 343 wouldn’t have been setting up for the next 10 years of Halo. They already said recently (in the last 2 or so years) that he wasn’t going anywhere.

Oh, I see. They might have to do something with him as he can’t go on forever. Just happy that it’s not soon.

I’m so confused by this comment. The Spartan we play as in Halo: Infinite is the same character we played as in Halo 5: Guardians.

It’s a clear contradiction to the proven “Spartans never die. They’re just missing in action.”. As such, Master Chief is alive.
