Is the inconsistent aim assist intentional or is it a bug?

the aiming in general is off in this game like a really bad port of a PC game. It’s like the thumb stick calibration they used was off, i have an elite series 2 so i messed around with it a little and found that setting the thumb stick tracking to true diagonals and the input curve to the middle of the delayed setting and made it feel somewhat like past halos

I have seen many threads talking about aiming inconsistency in Infinite and how it feels different or off compared to other Halos. I made a thread that should help:

The biggest issue for most people will be the aim acceleration. MAX IT OUT if you want it to feel like older games as there is no way to turn it off so maxing it out is the closest you will get. Most FPS games before 2 to 3 years ago used a linear aim speed but now some games like Infinite have gone to a curved aim acceleration speed. This just means it takes longer to reach the actual sensitivity you have it set to and the longer you push ine direction the faster it will go. Liner just meant it moved at the same speed no matter what.

Anyways hope the thead I listed helps.

Still waiting on someone to show this accusation in practice, visually instead of “trust me bro”.

Someone posted a video on another thread, but as I’ve said numerous times it just looks like bad aim. Obviously this is a game that requires visuals and for that very reason you can see aim assist kick in when using a test environment (not so much I’m actual gameplay), however it’s not so easy to demonstrate visually when aim assist drops off because it’s more than just visual…it’s eye to hand co-ordination and that is a feeling not something you can see on screen. If you’ve played any ball sports (football, tennis, hockey, etc) to any reasonable skill level then you should know what I mean…and the same applies to gaming in this instance.

I already replied earlier that I was mistaken.
