Is the Halo franchise dead or at least still in hibernation with 343’s Halo 4? For me I am still a fan, but it has been hard to play halo since halo 3 because it has been slowly creeping into Call of Duty type multiplayer among a plethora of other reasons.
Yes it’s dead. At this rate, we’ll be spawning with rocket launchers and snipers in our loadouts in Halo 5.

And don’t forget about the jet pack that will make you camo while in flight!
I wish it was dead. I’d rather they stop making games instead of continuing to ruin the halo name. As a competitive franchise, however, it is dead.
This game is so broken nice slap in the face to all the fans I for one am done with halo if 343 doesn’t get off their butts and do something about this laggy repetitive game sick of playing the same map 15 times in a row cause it wont give any other options once again EPIC FAIL 343! Thanks for not caring about your fans/players means allot!
No it’s not. I find it amusing that some people think so.
It’s more delusion that multiplayer is the main draw of a Halo game, and that not liking that multiplayer means it’s automaticaly bad.

It’s delusional to think a 5 hour campaign is worth $65.
Hibernation, theres still time to reawaken the Halo within the Halo, its just going to take some smart decisions.
The addition of the Competitive Playlist will help a lot in going toward a direction that suits the series much better. Halo has never needed anything similar to other games to succeed, but other games have needed ideas from Halo to succeed, so that should tell them something and show them that Halo has always suppose to have been a truly competitive and engaging game.
Best to ditch any COD related elements and go back to Halo CE, 2, 3, formula, and it seems the Competitive Playlist is heading in the direction most people desire. Support it and hopefully we will also get much better Playlist’s and options due to it, Big Team Battle could once again reign and be fantastic if it ditches the COD elements as well.

Hopefully the next Campaign is longer, it should be since there will be much more disc space available. I enjoyed the Campaign but it could of been longer and more detailed for people new to the Extended Universe, Novels etc.
I just want us all to begin enjoying the franchise, series, again, I think Bungie went down the wrong road with Reach, and 343i followed in their footsteps with some more bad decisions. Campaign redeemed alot of the bad decisions and Spartan Op’s seems to be headed toward greatness as well, but Multiplayer is where the draw is, its what really needs to be focused on going forward.
Franchise is not dead, not yet, but if it does not focus on making changes and making the game focus on becoming its true name sake, the real competitive, driven, Halo we all love, then it will be dead.
Nope the only thing dead about halo is the community
its on life support, and microsoft wont pull the plug until they drain every last cent out of it
