Will we ever get a flight for halo infinite before release? In 6-8 months it will be here.
I think their keeping their cards to close to their chest at this point.
All I want is to see something before summer.
Honestly, I’m becoming less and less interested in this game every day because of the lack of info on it.
I’m sure they are gonna do tests around summer time and have a big news blowout, I’m sure the current situation with COVID-19 isn’t helping since the team is now restricted to their homes and can’t collaborate as easily is having some set backs. I guess just be patient with them as they are trying their best.
We just need to be patient.
The new consoles have only just been unveiled. And everyone is settling in to the pandemic restrictions.
Neither Microsoft or Sony have gone big with any of their AAA launch titles.
I’m sure 343 is champing at the bit to get stuff out… but Microsoft’s PR team have them on a very short leash…
Personally, I kind of want 343 to do what they got to do without worrying about us. Is the lack of news so close to launch an easy pill to swallow, no. But games suffer when shown too early especially if a certain thing doesn’t make it into the game. CoVid-19 certainly doesn’t help either.
I want 343 to make their best game, the little we have seen is a good indicator of the direction they took but still leaving much unknown. They’re toys look amazing, especially the Multiplayer spartan ones.
I’m sure after MS’s E3 conference (or rather their own one) we will have plenty to gawk at. And I believe this beta is going to be more or less a stress test. Betas have all sorts of functions. It doesn’t all have to be a year before release.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they were planning a Campaign and Multiplayer reveal for E3, with a mid-summer test flight reveal right at the end of the Multiplayer trailer.
Which means that, unless COVID-19 has had too serious an impact on developing the flight, we are going to get those teasers and the reveal before too long. Just through an online post instead of E3. With COVID-19 being a thing though, don’t be surprised if everything, including the final game’s release date, gets pushed back a couple of months. They’ll likely push back the Series X release date along with it.
Yes, there will be a multiplayer beta at some point.
No, we don’t know when that will be yet.
Yes, I’m very surprised that we still aren’t even sure when the beta will occur because using the previous game, Halo 5, as a template would have placed the Infinite beta all the way back in the December-January timeframe.
My assumption is that 343 is fundamentally looking for something different than the Halo 5 beta. I’m not sure what exactly that is, but hopefully we’ll get some sort of explanation once the beta actually occurs.
The impression I got with Phil Spencer’s recent interview (Xbox Unlocked) - was that they don’t really know how the Coronavirus is going to affect the games.
He seemed quite positive in terms of the hardware at least.
I imagine teams are still sorting out the process of working from home etc. Lots of stuff is probably being put on the back-burner at the moment. We are all crying out for a trailer or demo at the moment… but I doubt that these are the core focus at present.

Except Phil Spencer has said that the Series X wouldn’t be delayed for any game, including halo. However, either Phil or the CEO of Microsoft (can’t remember which) recently said that the production lines for the console are back on track, so barring some major setback I would expect infinite to release on time.

That could be bad news if development on Infinite is affected by the pandemic. I’d prefer a finished release. If that’s the case, the best thing they could do is make the beta fully playable from the Series X release date, until the final game release. That way the Series X does get Halo at launch.
Based on my experience with projects… (related to a different industry)… They’re probably stressed. Pulling overtime and trying their best like many have said; also, working from home hampers productivity.
From the view point of a fan, I think betas are merely a stress test to the servers… It is not like we are programmers and going to bug glitch. So, it will start small and slowly build up to a full rollout.
Unfortunately, this is not going to be a progressive rollout of the game (like pubg)… It’s like a car… U buy the whole thing from the get go not the engine and then frame and so on…
I, not impartially, wanted a different situation like everyone else… But from a business standpoint. Xmas is going to be a lump of coal this year for everyone; think about it… The economy was going good and they were hoping on sales of the new Xbox/infinite combo. Things have changed in a big way; the timing is awful… By the time we pass through this thing… No one is going to be thinking little of the hefty price tag of the combo.
They need to have a strategy change but I leave that to the head honchos. I’m a little
… Bye now
