Just wondering as I will then choose to unlock Pathfinder last. Surely this must be some kind of unintended oversight? Actually 343 will probably just spin it that this was intended so that we “waited for our favourite”.

No offense, but what kind of answer are you expecting? Unless somebody from 343 is going to go ahead and give details about future patches (they won’t), nobody is going to give you a definite answer.
One can only speculate. Does it really matter though? It’s just a label right? You can still use all perks (I keep forgetting the actual name for this thing) and armor mods that you’ve unlocked.
I personally think it should go back to saying spartan IV
That’s pretty much why I’m going to do Pathfinder last, even though it probably has the one perk that benefits my playstyle the most.
I just like the title. If I have to stuck one a single title, might as well be that.

Pretty much the same reason that I’m going for Pathfinder last !
