Serious question.
You know, I really miss watching funny video clips, seeing funny captured moments in pictures and browsing fan made Forge maps. What is the deal here?

only way i know is to search there name and look that way

Wonderful, but that does not mean it’s working.
i just cant wait to see what people have done with forge this time around. halo 3 had some amazing creations but this editor is even better so much to play with.

I don’t think there are as many people Forging this time around. I don’t know what it is, but it’s really difficult to Forge in this Halo.
You can not really make a BTB map since all the maps seem like a few feet in distance. If a Forge World was not part of the plan (which it obviously wasn’t) then why not at least give us just one Forge map that looks similar and to the size of just Blood Gultch; including the rolling hills and open plains look? The new environments are cool and all, but they seem so closed in and small.
I never complained about the gray Forerunner look and man do I kind of miss them. I like the new textures to an extent in Halo 4, but the new textures make me think I’m playing in a map made out of cardboard. The Forerunner look made more sense because to me it seemed like I was playing in an area made by the Forerunners. Again, these new textures make it seem like I’m in a cardboard box.

> Also the fact that 80% of the player base has gone has something to do with it and the main forgers that made maps in previous games are gone.

I tried out the new magnet option and I don’t use it nor do I like it. They do not work most of the time and in my opinion, it is the most worthless feature in Forge.
I wouldn’t be too concerned there is always time for DLC and forge maps. I was messing around with Impact yesterday and that map was clearly designed with forge in mind. Its huge, and the amount of items and options to play with is awesome.
However, i do agree that with maps like forge world and foundry from halo 3 it would be even better.
I think all of this is coming though. Hell there is so much for them to do with the playlists and even the ranking system that hasnt been introduced yet…hopefully there is a lot to come!
343i is working on fixing the issues with File Searches, and expects the problem to be resolved sometime this month.
You can keep track of this and other issues by keeping an eye on Halo Bulletins as they are released. The most recent Halo Bulletin also lists some administrator accounts, whose post histories may contain items of interest.
I don’t play in the same circles as you… but for me… this is the least of the problems with this game right now. The gameplay is the biggest concern of mine right now.

My other issue with Forge is the lack of area within the maps. Why are there no areas available to incorporate water or beaches?
See, this is why Forge World in Reach was so cool. It wasn’t the fact it was enormous. It was the fact that Forge World itself had specific areas that were intended to be built in. the limitations in the Forge maps now is frustrating sometimes.
Ravine would be an awesome natural terrain if we were allowed to remove the humungous Forerunner structure. Every time I boot that map up and see that thing, I always thinks, “what am I supposed to with that?”

Well this thread isn’t about gameplay. It’s about Forge and the File Share.
