Is the elite controller worth buying?

I was considering buying the elite controller but it seems really expensive and it looks like an ordinary controller. Is it worth the price? Will it have a noticeable positive affect on gameplay? How durable is it? Are there any variant colors(not as important question)? Answers would be appreciated.

Just purchased one last weekend. It is a solid design. Takes a little to get used to. Not having to take the thumbs off the stick is a great improvement. It is a little on the expensive side, $190.00 Canadian. They only had one colour in the store I bought it from. Durability I can not answer yet, to soon to tell. Personal feelings, I am happy with it.

For colors, there’s only the original and the Gear version (red). Getting one isn’t going to make you a MLG level player instantly. Plus it’ll take you some time to adjust to using the paddles. I like it mainly because I can map buttons/actions to what feels comfortable for me.

I think it’s worth it. It’s definitely a solid design, and is extermely handy especially if it removes your fingers from ever having to leave the joysticks like I have my setup.

It’s a bit much (I think $150 USD when I got it), but it was also a gift to me which was nice. As everyone else has said, if you’re a bad player anyway it won’t be a magic turnaround, but once you get the controls and aim down you should be golden.

The Master Chief one is cooler imo. Bought it two weeks ago and I’m still happy with it.

Alright good to know.

Being “MLG” is not my intention especially if we’re talking about Halo 5. I also already know that a controller won’t make a major difference; I do however want to know what it does do and to what length it does it.

I was curious about this myself. Switched my controller layout to helljumper in order to keep my thumbs stick based!
It’s tough changing your layout, but definitely cheaper!

Yes I highly recommend it. The paddles make playing so much easier, and being able to change out the thumbsticks helps too. So far I’ve had mine for about 3 months and have had no problems with durability. Still functions like the day I got it. There are not color options unfortunately. If your willing to spend the money I would definitely get it.

Well I’ve spent a lot more money than that on far more ridiculous things…

I wouldn’t buy it.

I haven’t used it but I think it’s not worth it
