Is the Domain destroyed?

WARNING: Spoilers of Halo: SILENTIUM ahead

At the end of Silentium, we discover that the Domain is (presumably) based on the precursor’s neural physics, and thus it will be destroyed with the firing of the Halo array. Is this total destruction ever confirmed or denied in any other book/source? In such case, in which one? (please, don’t spoil it too much :P!). I know in the Halo 5 promo scenes, where John and Cortana are communicating, this is theorized to be done through the Domain, but again, is this ever confirmed or discussed elsewhere? Thanks!

The Domain still exists, it is what repaired the Rampant fragment of Cortana and made her into the poorly done villain that we got in Halo 5. It is also considered the ‘Fountain of Youth’ for AIs, and is what Evil Cortana used to bribe all the other AIs in the UNSC into joining her as the Created.

The answer you’re looking for is in Halo Fractures, the story is called Promises to Keep.

Bornstellar leads a team to the old Forerunner Capital and finds the Organon (which is actually a Precursor AI named Abaddon. A member of Bornstellar’s team sacrifices herself to serve as a template of sort for Abaddon to use to start rebooting, rebuilding the Domain, which is in actuality Abaddon’s memory, using the entire galaxy to create nearly infinite processing power, which is why connection to the Domain effectively makes AI immortal, because they only become rampant due to reaching the limits of their abilities while wanting more, and access to infinite processing power removes those limits.

Exactly what I was looking for! I in fact bought Fractures recently, but hadn’t got time to read it just yet, so I’m not opening the spoiler

Thanks a lot!

I don’t think the Domain can be destroyed. While the information (especially from the Precursors in particular) does become harder to understand, it still exist.
