I heard the DMR is getting nerfed in the next TU. Will it be nerfed, or will the other weapons be buffed (if anything happens at all)?
Nothing about the TU was confirmed yet, aside from weapon balancing and the red X on corpses.
small point i know but has the colour of the “x” been confirmed. everyone is saying return of the “red x” but all the tweets i have seen say return of the “x”.
I’m sure the X will be red, or maybe orange.
It better not be nerfed, because then all the precision loadout weapons have extremely slow killtimes (excluding the scoped LR).
I sure as hell better be nerfed It takes no skill to use and is the most noob friendly weapon I’ve ever seen in a video game.

If it does get a nerf, I’ll be looking forward to all those games decided by the first ordinance. Since none of the other spawn weapons can do anything against a Sniper or SAW.
One can only hope that the DMR gets nerfed. It makes BTB literally unplayable. And BTB objective DOES NOT WORK with DMR starts.
I surely hope it wil be, that and the BS one shot kill…
DMR doesn’t need to be nerfed. If it’s the most “n00b” weapon and it’s so easy to get kills, then how come the people complaining just can’t use it too? You adapt to the game, not the other way around.
Well because 343 will probably be looking at these boards for their source of community feedback it will most likely get nerfed.
Im guessing slower RoF or more bloom.
They should bring lacking weapons up to the level of the DMR but they probably wont…
For some reason the new Halo community likes ridiculously slow kills times…

Yeah, I understand. But what I don’t get is that people on here are always crying.
- Halo Reach comes around and takes out the BR. Population Cries
- Then the Reach Population cries about the Bloom on the DMR.
- Then they bring back the BR and the Halo 4 population cries still.
It’s like no matter what happens, no one is happy. lol
This is exactly why the Halo community confuses me to such a degree.
Everyone hated the DMR in Reach so you all barked and bellowed and demanded a buff to improve it. Guess what? No one played that game type.
Now the DMR is perfect in Halo 4 and people want it nerfed. Why? So you can ruin the game for everyone else? Again!
Leave the DMR alone, 343. It’s okay to tell the community ‘NO’ every once in a while.
The DMR is fine. The problem is that you stay in zoom when being shot and the amount of aim assist in this game for all guns. Remove flinch and drop the aim assist across the board and this game would be great.

I say the only weapon that needs to be descoped when being shot at is the sniper. Gets rid of campers and makes it easier to compete with a sniper from across the map.
Don’t care if it is or isn’t. Because buffing the precisions would fix, but so would nerfing.
Both solutions do have issues though. Issue with BR/LR/CB buffing is that they might end up outclassing the automatics in their respective ranges again. That is unacceptable.
And the problem with nerfing is that we end up with slower-paced games.
343i’d better fix all the issues with loadout weapons in this final TU or probably no one will buy halo 5

So, 1.5-1.8 second kill times are too slow?
I wouldn’t say they need a nerf. They need balancing. Less aim assist, less bullet magnetism, DMR rate of fire dropped a little so it doesn’t out-class the BR at mid-range where it is supposed to beat the DMR at.

Have you ever thought it is because the BR sucks now, and is the slowest-killing precision weapon in the series?
> So, 1.5-1.8 second kill times are too slow?
That’s his point. In CE, the Pistol killed in 0.6 seconds. In Halo 2, the BR killed in about 1.4 seconds,
