Maybe it’s select fire now. Or there’s a 3-burst variant available from REQ packs.

Its not. Its a warzone loadout weapon like the BR/AR
And last I checked, its still 5-shot kill. The Light rifle is the 3-shot kill power weapon.
DMR has always been deadly, my fav gun
Its a 3sk in breakout, but that’s because you’ve got no shields
It’s still a 5sk weapon in all other game types (except swat obviously) as far as I am aware
And the light rifle is a 3sk while zoomed and a 5sk while unzoomed

Power as in placed on the map and considered one? Probably not. But as a regular weapon that people use. It’s pretty deadly depending on your accuracy.
It could be considered one in breakout, it gives you a distinct ranged advantage and theres only one per side where the team spawns. In some maps they spawn BRs instead, and I could have sworn I saw someone using a hydra on one or two of the maps.

its a gun… It’d be pretty -Yoink- if it wasn’t deadly. I prefer the carbine.
I actually wouldn’t be surprised to see it as a starting weapon on some BTB maps.

I honestly dont see that happening. BTB will more likely be BR/Mag or BR/AR
I’m just glad load outs are not a thing anymore. Everyone had a dmr/light rifle and that mini shotgun on spawn.
It’s a loadout weapon in warzone, so no. In arena there are AR/Pistol starts so you have to pick up the BR/DMR off the map

That’s what we thought about Arena.
If they’re going to give us the close range primary on small maps alongside what’s supposed to be 343’s “true” utility weapon I’d expect to see DMR/Magnum starts for BTB.
Though personal I’d like to see BR/Magnum starts mixed in as voting options on smaller BTB maps and bigger Arena maps. As for the SMG I have no real idea why it exists, what it’s supposed to do, or what to do with it in regards to weapon starts. If it were up to me I would’ve made it a close range secondary to go alongside the DMR as compensation for it’s weakness in CQC while the Magnum would be a long range secondary that compensates for the ARs long range weakness. From that point you don’t need utility weapons anymore because you’ll spawn with a utility weapon combination.
Pretty much every weapon that’s not a pistol or AR is a power weapon. That’s how it should be.
