Is The Didact Dead or Alive?

I have been wondering for awhile if the Didact was alive in Halo 5 because he dies in the Halo Escalations comics. Does anyone have information about him being dead or alive in Halo 5? Also something very interesting is that before the Didact dies in the comics Master Chiefs visor is cracked and if you look at the E3 trailer Chiefs visor is clearly cracked here is Chiefs visor in the trailer http://halofanforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/Screen-shot-2013-06-10-at-2.21.22-PM.png and here is the one in the comics. Well as he is Composed he is neither of that, neither alive or dead…he is the Schroedinger’s cat of the Halo Universe.

The Master Chief specifically states that he is “contained”. He’ll probably show up again in some form eventually. The Visor crack is obtained sometime in Halo 5 and has nothing to do with the damage from the comics, as shown by the “Blue Team” cinematic.

Wasn’t the visor crack from the fistfight we saw between Chief and Locke in one of the videos from a month or two ago?

So if he has been composed does that mean he is even more insane than before?

Is it merely a simulation if it exists in the confines of what we call a computer?
Is Cortana “proof” a soul is a manifestation and life exists as long as the soul does?

While I cannot answer for you, I can answer that “contained” means “still a threat.” Whether dead or alive, the Didact is a slumbering dragon.

It’s was but 343 edited it out.
