To answer OP, no the community isn’t ruining Halo. 343 ruined it.
343 Industries tried to make Halo something it isn’t with how much they changed moving into Halo 4. Then they made further changes and adjustments with Halo 5. Now they are trying to backtrack and fix what they screwed up.
However, now there are those who have been playing Halo 4 and Halo 5 Guardians, and like cheap beer - it is a sour taste that no one would rightfully drink, but it is an acquired taste and somehow players have developed a craving for this soured and rancid tasting brew of gameplay.
343 ruined Halo, and the fanbase is now divided between how the games should actually be viewed while 343 is now trying to fix the problems they made because for some reason everyone and their mother in the 2010s was following this design fad of “We are now going to ruin something that was perfect to begin with” (reference to how in the 2010s we saw Star Wars and Ghostbusters and Mass Effect and Call of Duty become something that they are entirely not supposed to be.)
So if I disagree with you on video game mechanics you “can’t respect me as a human”? You’re an idiot. Full stop. I stopped reading when I read that sentence because only a full blown narcissistic moron could write something so absolutely brain dead. Get out of the forums scrub.
A company developing and releasing a Half baked game ; All while ignoring the community, refusing to communicate and acknowledge the real issues plaguing the game…
OR
A community who expected a full game, but was given a half baked game providing feedback on how to improve the game and wanting the game to succeed…
The books are more cannon than the games are, Halo came out as book formate before Halo CE was released or put into production.
If you’re going to criticize Halo for “ NEW “ features, then chances are you never read the books. Tac map, Thrusters, shielding, everything in the games were in the books first.
These kids are so damn adamant about us precision users having a playlist… because they KNOW DAMN WELL… nobody wants to play that AR trash.
It’s literally an insult to those who value skill, the core game of halo since inception (precision), and towards anyone who has any self respect of earning something.
