Is The Community Ruining Halo? No But 343 Split The Community Apart

Completly agree with this sentiment lol

I mean reach is my favorite game second to Halo 3. I think sprint was needed, but the armor abilities messed up the flow of Halo reach to 5 . The giant split of how people want the series to take form really has imploded here on infinite lol

Saying the community is destroying itself, because they don’t all agree with the same things is silly. There’s many people here, so there will be many different opinions. If you like everyone holding the same opinions Reddit is capital of that.

Also don’t nerf the assault rifle it’s perfect as it is, 343i.

That isn’t the issue tho…again…reality must be accepted.
This community rejected the ability to run.
to run
to run
The community destroyed this game.
The same losers that cried for years about running now support a game with a grappling hook.
What is stated is fact.
Halo fans refused to allow the game to evolve ever because their pride couldn’t handle their favorite game being knocked out of all the rankings due to faster paced combat.
or
What people cry ahhhhhcodahhhhhhhhhhh cod cod cod
all day.
but what we wanted wasn’t the game to become cod but to become more FLUID.
this is stupidity by classic halo fans.
We had people reject clamber because they wanted to tuck their legs and do skill jumps.
What was stated was fact.
This community dethroned this game and refused to allow it to compete…now, it is in the state and status it is at.

I edited the title to what it sort of originally was.

Far from it. I think people were very keen to praise the game and present it as a counter to EA and Activision. I think people wanted a feel good return to form after last few years. Unfortunately it’s not turned out as people wanted. That makes people talk.

Oh Infinite’s gameplay is great, and the inclusion of AI bots is a big plus for me. It’s just a shame that the weapons, armor progression, and certain features in the game aren’t great.

Bungie said that Game Canon always is allowed to contradict Book Canon exclusively because Halo: Reach conflicted with established lore at the time and Bungie’s B Team of writers (because the A Team was making ODST) decided to snub Eric Nylund despite Nylund helping write CE, similar to how Bungie would later snub Staten’s draft of Destiny 1 before Bungie made their awful story that we got instead.

So basically they said that because their writers were lazy, which means you don’t have to care about that anymore

Those pesky Halo fans with their preferences.

Equipment isnt evolving. It’s a step backwards. If anything it’s a get out jail free card because other players won’t have the same equipment as eachother. In halo 5 it was actually true equal starts because everything had the same thing

I’ve never once seen anyone use equipment to run away from a fight. So, I’m not sure where you’re getting that idea from.

Yea you guys are ruining it with these AR / sidekick starts and all you do is run forward and try to melee.

So your saying you never seen someone use a thruster pack to get around a corner faster? Or someone use the grapple to travel down the hallway faster getting them away from the enemy? Are you really saying that any of that doesn’t happen or can’t happen?

Thank. I’ve been saying this. I don’t think it’s a AR/pistol problem tho. I think it’s a problem with Sprint being by itself. You can use the Sprint to close the gap of the lunge. In halo 5 you had the thruster pack to get away from meleles and in classic Halo people couldn’t Sprint so it wasn’t as easy to close the lunge gap

I don’t really see how abilities other than armor lock messed up the flow, personally Reach and 4 are my favorites BECAUSE of their abilities.

Generalize the question, and you get “Is the consumer ruining a flawed product?” That should answer your question. It is not the consumer’s job to hold their nose and deal with something they don’t like, it is the producer’s job to make something that people like, or fix whatever issues keep them from enjoying it. You know, listen to their customers.

Jet Pack breaks maps and Invisibility was originally treated as an ace up the sleeve. But again you’re the minority of liking abilities vs the rest of the OG trilogy community.

It’s like going on to a basket ball court and giving one of the players a magic ring that helped them shoot better.

No one else has this ring. Other players could pick it up but no one ever had it all at the same time.

That’s why it ruins the flow. It’s more vairbales. Variables lead to randomness. Randomness leads to RNG. Idk why people WANT random things to happen

No I’ve not seen any of this.
I’ve seen everyone using grapple to get into the fight quicker or gain a location/height advantage. Using grapple during an engagement will just get you killed.
I usually see players use thruster to close the gap in map traversal or cqb. I do see some dodging of explosions, so sure, that could be a “get out of jail free card.”

You are incredibly frustrating to engage with on these forums because of crap like this. Use your reading comprehension skills, that isn’t even close to what I said.

Well I have definitely used it to get around a corner or get away from someone. The thrust has many uses and if you see someone get away from a grenade that’s just another example that proves my point. That by itself it is a get out of jail free card because he’s the only one that has it. It would be fair if the other person has it so that he can match that thrust with his thrust
