You got those who want Infinite to be more like Halo 5, you got those who want the Energy Sword removed from Fiesta, you got those who want Spartans to be like the books. Why? The books aren’t canon and should never be canon to the games. Then there’s people who want the assault rifle to be weak, and there are those who think the campaign is bad just because of the story and wish for it to be a movie. I feel that Halo should have just ended with the Master Chief Collection and the series be put to rest. The community is destroying itself.

It was said at the Bungie era that they aren’t.
I thought they said the books were canon, but if there are contradicting points in the books and games, they said the games take priority.

Same with Gears…Should have made the Marcus Fenix or the Delta Squad collection and been done with both of them…
Community is split…half want the game to advance…half want the game to stay the same…
Remake all the old campaigns and combine the multiplayer into a collection and allow the teams to move on to create something new.
Hopefully, this is the last major release in the series where the community fights with itself. I don’t get why that this game needed to evolve even though CSGO, League, and Dota have nearly stayed the same their entire life cycle.

I think it’s understandable, as long as they don’t want the art style.
I wouldn’t mind the Rocket removed either after seeing someone camping with it on Aquarius.
I wouldn’t mind a canon skull in the campaign.

It shouldn’t be too powerful, but I think it’s fine as it is right now.

Agreed. When Armor Abilities in Reach were added. Then in H4 sprint became a part of the game it changed completely. Never felt like the old Halo I once loved.

Those games literally don’t get NEW GAMES.

These people want this franchise to keep making new Halos…with completely updated graphics…strong single player and co-op additions to update and progress the story…
but want ZERO CHANGES/ADDITIONS/UPGRADES/IMPROVEMENTS to the core GAME MECHANICS.

Never whether it is or isn’t an improvement…just it wasn’t their Halo from childhood…
Destroyed the franchise as the franchise couldn’t grow…
Should have made MCC and been done with it.
Zero pleasing them as they want nothing more than more story and graphical enhancements.
The community wants a lot of different things from Halo games. There really isn’t another way to put it.

Nah I just dont want mechanics that change the core game play. Seems like everything thats added in todays world is just to help the players. For example, crouch jumps into good spots, add clamber instead. 1 shot and cant get away, add sprint to run away. Armor only unlocked through legendary campaign, nah lets just put it in the store so they pay. Gaming was hardcore back in my day, you actually had to grind for things and couldnt just buy them. If you were out of position you were killed for it, you couldnt run and slide away. Halo was never a slippery game with tons of movement mechanics.

Bungie had a problem with some extended stuff, that they didn’t have control over. Bungie at one time also stated that Halo Wars was a cash grab by MS and shouldn’t have any connection to the games.
343 was created to take control of the Halo Universe and make it all canon for better or worse.

Omgosh right? There are so many people who hold Bungie on this crazy high throne even though they’re literally the ones who took the first dump all over Halo’s equal starts focus. That has done nothing but bad things for the game and community.
Like basically every major instance if community disagreement traces back to Reach

So how does the game ever IMPROVE and why should additional games in the series be made?
