So i hear the DMR has a faster kill time and quicker fire rate and is useable up-close and at far range so in other words, why?
Why would anybody use the BR if the DMR seems better or is there a piece of information i am missing out on.
Another question which to be honest is a potential game breaker for me.
Is the sniper a 1 shot head 2 shot body weapon OR is it a 1 shot anywhere weapon?
DMR is said to be effective at Medium-Long ranges, but there are some people who can accommodate for that. The BR is said to be effective at closer range. Hence the 3x zoom on DMR, 2x zoom on BR.
> Is the sniper a 1 shot head 2 shot body weapon OR is it a 1 shot anywhere weapon?
There are 3 snipers:
Human Sniper Rifle: 2 shots to body, 1 to head
Covenant Beam Rifle: 2 shots to body, 1 to head
Forerunner Binary Rifle: 1 shot to anywhere
The binary rifle, however, holds only two shots to a clip and 6 total. It also is difficult to hipfire/unzoom kill.

It’s all preference based IMO. If you a really good player in general, you’ll dominate regardless if you use BR/DMR. Carbine might be a different story but like many others, this is just a second hand observation (minus the elitism).
The Human Sniper and the Beam Rifle can only kill in one hit with a head shot. The Promethean Binary Rifle is the one that kills in a single shot anywhere on the body.
The Bi Ri however, can only hold two shots before reloading, players will know that you are aiming it down via laser sights, it’s near impossible to no scope at range with it, and it’s rare ordnance drop according to 343.

Exactly, is more of preference than killtime, each gun is perfectly balanced (IMO) . You just need to find the one that suits your playstyle.

^This.
I found I could be just as accurate with the DMR in close-medium range as I could with any other weapon. The fact that the bloom is hardly there (maybe I just didn’t notice it), makes it extremely powerful compared to the BR which has spread AND recoil.
That being said, I got just as many kills with the BR at long range too. If you’re a good player, you’re a good player. And if you’re not, you’ll eventually get better with practice. All of these weapons have the potential to be deadly.
I conclude that it’s not about the gun, but who uses it.

The Light Rifle has the fastest kill time of the Precision weapons. Being only 1.2 seconds or so. But that’s only while it’s scoped.

dont forget that the binary rifle also has a lazer that tells everyone where you are and what your looking at when your scoped in
