I understand the DMR being overpowerd. Well not really but I’ve come to except it.
Can somone at least explain to me how this happend? And should I stop using the AR?
You should use the weapon that suits you, forget what the community think. I do, I use the DMR AND the AR quite often, because it works for me.

Hey, at least you are showing that you do not rely on range to win, also teaches DMR users a lesson!
And no, you shouldn’t stop using it. If you like to use it, then use it. Plus, it’s a one chance that the AR (and other Auto’s) have a chance. Heck, I use Auto’s a bunch myself!
Keep doing what you’re doing man. You’re doing nothing wrong.

What do you mean now? I think its always been a problem in H4
I get the fact that it has its “niche” but the thing is that it has a decent effective range outside of that “niche”
If I am standing at red stairs and an AR user is standing top mid that AR should not be able to rip through my shields and kill me in 1.4 seconds and yet it does
I’ve said all along that while its not OP I think it needs to be tweaked
Either a range or damage nerf, not both and have its bullet magnetism reduced significantly
The bullet manatisum on the AR is so high bullets curve around corners for Christ sakes

i received like 12 hate mails in Halo 4 of people saying lot of -Yoink- about me for killing them with a BR while they used the DMR. (funny cuz for community BR is not OP lol)
if they feel that as an excuse to still think they are ‘‘pro’’, it’s ok

I don’t care what anyone says. I use BR 99% of the time and the off chance a guy dies and drops his AR I will pick it up for a backup.
While I prefer using skill weapons to get my kills I have no prob mowing down some dude with the AR if he gets too close or he thinks jetpacking towards me will help him lol.
I think its more useful then ever, but not too useful. Long range fights still go to the Precision weapons, but the Automatic rifles including the AR secure dominance at close range.
I don’t think its overpowered at all. Automatic weapons are better balanced then precision weapons at this time.

I’ve had a good amount of use with every weapon and they all seem pretty balanced to me. The only weapon that I think needs a bit of tweaking is the DMR.

I don’t give a toss, personally, what weapon I get killed by. It simply means I goofed up and deserved to die. On the other hand, I’ll use any and all weapons at my disposal (except the BS) to kill others, depending upon the situation and weapon at hand. I’d rather excel or at least be competent with all weapons (except the BS).
My GF gets messages like “you’re AR noob” all the time. Even though DMR fanboys knows that their weapon is overpowered, still they use fact of dying by hand of other weapon’s users as excuse, that it’s not. It’s pathetic really, like they’re trying to say: “I’m using the cheapest weapon in game, and still I’m dying, so see, this weapon is not OP”. Poor AR is just victim of their hate campaign.
Who cares what anyone else thinks? Use whatever weapon you want. It’s your game, should anyone call you out for killing them around corners with the AR or deems you unskillful, just remember that around that corner their corpse lies in a pool of blood while you’re up and about, which to be fair is probably the only reason they’re complaining anyway…

Absolutely not, use whatever you’re comfortable with. The AR is only overpowered to those who aren’t good enough to counter it. I love how it’s actually useful now.
Don’t feel like a jerk just cause you like using a certain weapon. I love the BR and DMR but I like to play with the AR every now and again for a change of pace. If someone gets mad enough over a video game to send you hate messages, they’re opinions aren’t worth caring about tbh. In fact, we’re all strangers on here, there’s no point caring about anyone’s opinions at all.

MEGA66 CQC < With a Gamer Tag like that…you shouldn’t use anything else but the AR combined with Melees, Beatdowns and Assassinations!
Is the gun acturaly overpowerd?
You should use whatever you want. I don’t think it’s that unbalanced because a DMR/Br user can still take out someone with an AR at close range if they know how to do it properly. It’s just easier to use the AR. Plus 343 is going to be balancing out the weapons soon.
