Is the Airborne possible anywhere in campaign?

Or is it only possible using the Death Island method?

Good question. I don’t think there is. There just aren’t any big enough jumps in the campaign.

In the campaign jumps are not required.

In theory you could pile up enough grenades underneath a warthog hop in as it explodes and pray to forerunners that you actually land on a something. The issue is, you have no control of the AI which will try to avoid the warthog. In general doing the achievment on death island with a few friends is the best way to go. It takes probably a 10 - 20 tries before you get it.

Yeah I was thinking maybe some where on the silent cartographer you could launch somehow off a cliff but the odds of hitting an AI character who will more likely try and dive out of the way is slim.

One person claimed to have unlocked it on The Maw with the Boom skull, via a random explosion. It sounds possible, but I agree with others that Death Island is more likely to succeed in a reasonable amount of time.

I first thought of the Maw, where you make that big drop/jump, but there are no enemies around there.

If I remember the post correctly, the person said they were in a normal open area part of the run, got blown high into the air, and landed on some Grunts. Very hard to make it happen. They were incredibly lucky.

Extremely lucky especially with most if the Maw being enclosed so would be tough to stay airborne long enough.
