I believe this was a day one limitation. After the 24 hours I haven’t experienced a post limit - at least not yet.

The post limit has been like this since 2016. I remember there were bots who spammed the forums in the previous waypoint in Korean. I remember it was in a few forums such as Halo 5, MCC and General discussion. After that, the waypoint admins and mods made the changes to limit the post to 5.

This is not completely true. The daily post limit was previously dependent on your forum rank and was the following.

  • Recruit: 5 posts/day (initial forum rank)
  • Marine: 100 posts/day (unlocked after 100 forum posts)
  • ODST: 500 posts/day (unlocked after 500 forum posts)
  • Spartan: 1000 posts/day (unlocked after 6000 forum posts)

Slight correction, ODST Iron was earned at 1500 posts.

That’s really restrictive. That means it would take at least twenty days (if you post five posts a day) to have that limit lifted. I’m glad they didn’t reimplement that this time.
