Is that the only scene AXIS will help with?

With that opening cutscene, we know AXIS was brought in to help. Frankie said that it used in-engine assets with post production boosts. Josh said that the majority of cinematics will be real time in-engine. My question is, what does this mean, do you think that is the only scene AXIS will help in or they will do some post production boosts with the rest? Also, could post production boosts simply mean it was made CG afterwards.

They may do the epilogue. Who nose?

If you go to their website, it would appear that they primarily do CGI. Also, it seems like they will have worked on more than just the one scene as their highlight reel includes clips from the earliest Halo 5 trailer. However, if it’s claimed that most cinematics will be in-game, real-time I’d imagine that Axis is there more for touch-ups and effects on details that the in-game engine can’t/won’t do as well at for cinematography. I’m no expert here, but I don’t see them reanimating everything in CGI after the fact if it’s already been done with the in-game engine. They’ll only do what needs to be done to make them look slick. IMO

Actually, going back and re-watching it all, I’m not so sure anymore. It really does look pretty CGI’d… but who knows? Not this guy.

Im sorry but who’s Axis?

Woah

I’m not sure if you understand what post-production means, but since these scenes will be rendered in-engine live as we play, there cannot be any post-production work done by nature of it. All the cutscenes will basically look the same as this, except with some lighting effects missing. However, I see them doing a prologue and epilogue that are pre-rendered like Halo 4 had.

Do you think the faces will look as good though?

I wonder if the models of Osiris will look that good in all the cinematics.
