So I’m sitting here at work, and I’m thinking to myself man that fire, spark, whatever you want to call it to run home and play halo is not there. To me that is the definition of a good game. Does it grasp me to the point I’m thinking about the moment I can clock out get home and play. The last game to have it for me was gears of war ultimate edition. I logged a quick 8 days of playing in the first month, hell I even lost sleep. Not with this game I’m not losing sleep over it, I’m not rushing to play it, and I can quite put my finger on it.
Anyone else out there feel the same way?
It’s there. But this month has so many games releasing that I don’t feel like its going to last when Fallout comes out for me personally. Then Battlefront. It’s been a battle since GoW came out actually. 2 weeks there, then 3 weeks with Destiny, Taken King, Then a couple weeks with Rockband, eventually landing on Halo… Then I have Black Ops tomorrow and Fallout on Tuesday capped with Battefront the following week. It’s a weird year for games when I’m buying everything.
But the fire to just PLAY is there, not quite sure if its necessarily for Halo
Definitely there. I’ve been at work twn hours now and I’m just waiting for that bell so I can go home and kick some sweet spartan -Yoink-. Got a sick kill in swat were I rounded a corner, saw a guy, slide, popped him in the face. It was a thing of beauty. Or how bout any time your ground pound gets a double kill, or checking out that new assassination for the first time. I’m pumped to unlock more REQs.

I’m also getting cod mostly to play zombies with mates. And also getting fallout as I’ve heard great things and I’ve never played a fallout.
But talking specifically this halo I don’t know if I’ll reach what I consider a game that grabbed me and that is 10 days playing time. I hit that with both gears and MCC even with all the issues both of those games have.

Don’t get me wrong, I have halo and gears of war tattoos. These games have made profound impacts on my gaming over the last 15 years. I love these series. But this year, with all the options, as a dedicated gamer who has so many different interests, I feel like H5 hasn’t captured me quite like h1 - h3 (and reach!).

May I ask did you play MCC?
The fire is absolutely there for me. All I do when I look at my work schedule is “When am I going to be able to fit a little bit of Halo time in here?” I’ve had a blast on H5 so far.
I’d like to play Halo 5, but it’s become clear to me that it won’t release for realsies until December.
Yup, I was ready to play this game. Got the game played it, enjoyed it a little and now I’m there where I don’t even put the game in my Xbox anymore. Once the aiming is fixed then the fire may start again but for now I’m looking forwards to BO3 which is sickening to say the least.

My fire is burning
