Spartan Ops Episode 8 have good gameplay?
And what do people tend to vote for more in the matchmaking lobby, Doubles Pro, Infinity Doubles or Doubles CTF?
I haven’t played Team Doubles myself yet, but from what I’ve seen on TwitchTV and read on some forums people are overall enjoying it. There has been some whining about the Infinity Doubles side of things, but hopefully they can quickly address any issues. As far as SpOps, I just played the latest episode and enjoyed it quite a bit. There is some retreading of familiar territory, but it has some fun encounters. The quality is definitely getting better.

How can you be the host in matchmaking?

I have never seen a host dominate like no other just because he is the host, unless its a shottys gametype or grifball. In fact most of my Halo 4 experience was with 3G services and just look at my KD, its over 2, and I know sure as hell I wasnt host.

There are 2 different versions of “host”. The one you are probably referring to is when someone “host” a custom game. The “host” he is mentioning is the one were someone’s xbox and connection is the main source connection of the game. Therefore we are seeing everything that is being transmitting from their xbox and connection. You know how if a player quits sometimes the game contintues and sometimes it goes to a black screen? Thats because the host quit and its selecting a new host (who ever has the best connection).
Keep in mind that that if you are hosting (the party leader) a custom game lobby that doesnt mean you are actually hosting the actual game. Whoever has the best connection is hosting the game.

I want to give doubles a try but everyone keeps voting for Dispatch or Abandon so I don’t get to see any of the other maps.

It’s a ~12foot tower that launches white balls of plasma that explode after a few seconds.

It’s a A.I enemy weapon, you cannot control it by the way.
I thought team doubles was all about pitting two skilled teams against each other, the most skilled wins, instead what is it really? Get the best infinity drop to eliminate the balanced gameplay. I played ONE game of doubles today and not long after the game started I noticed the other team had an overshield. Seriously? And overshield at the very start of the match? Doubles in Reach was better, at least there both teams started off with equal footing. Grabbing power weapons at the start of the match is one thing, but putting overshields in at the VERY BEGINNING - that’s just stupid. Needless to say once we saw that we both quit and now refuse to play it.

Playlist loaded up, voting started, I voted and nothing happened. Maybe that’s another bug, I don’t know. It doesn’t happen in the other playlists so far. That’s another reason to avoid it altogether.

Because your team didn’t run to OS, they ended up getting OS. It’s not not unbalanced. It’s placed at a symmetrical spot on the map and the older games had power ups to. You didn’t know about it I assume, so that’s why you were mad. You and your teammate can easily take down his OS or at least 1 well placed nade. Power ups are as good as power weapons.

Oh I did wait, and when I voted - with time left on the clock nothing happened. So I went in, tried it out, saw it wasn’t worth playing and left.
