Is TAA baked into Infinite's engine?

Because if it isn’t, an option to turn it off would be huge. The TAA implementation is horrendous in this game, it seriously looks like vaseline was smeared all over the screen. Movement makes 1080p look 480p. It sucks because when you stand still the game looks beautiful and current gen.

are you referring to anti-aliasing? (program that smooths edges IIRC, making things look less hexagonal)

Yeah, that’s what TAA is. Personally I don’t consider any post-processing AA to be real AA, and stand with OP on this one. On 4k on series X I don’t have much of a problem myself, but if OP is experiencing issues I’m not surprised.

TAA (temporal anti-aliasing) combines information from past frames and the current frame to produce a softer picture in the current frame. looks fine at 4k, barely tolerable at 1440p, at lower resolutions its atrocious.

here’s a comparison between moving and standing still:

Yeah I would imagine the effects of TAA is less noticeable on a 4k screen. 1080p is definitely a whole different story though…

Good example, here’s some more

I don’t know - but he scored a belter against Newcastle last night

Gosh, JOHN 117 looks like JORN TTZ or something in the moving image. That’s awful.

I too would love an option to turn it off. It looks terrible at 1440p, standing still or not.

Honestly makes me want to stop playing the game.

hoping we can get some traction or aknowledgement of this in the future. Really makes the game look worse than it is at 1080p
