Edit: Was trying to do the achievement and got it pretty quick in Core Play
I’m sure it’s still in rotation on there. If you want to get that achievement without waiting in a queue for all of eternity, however, I recommend trying out Super Fiesta Party. That playlist has Strongholds included in its game types (Big Team Super Fiesta might as well, but I haven’t played enough of it to know for sure), and I think it’s more populated than the one you’ve been trying. I find games all the time!
The Big Team Battle playlist has Strongholds built into its game modes too, but for whatever reason, those matches don’t count toward the achievement.
I believe it’s in that ranked playlist I forgot what it was called, but ngl, they should add a objective only Playlist for Social, there’s too many slayer games Playlists and it gets tiresome
It’s in both the Team Arena and Solo/Duo Que Team Arena Playlists in ranked and you can find it in Big Team Battle and Rarely in Super Fiesta Party. It’s not in Big Team Fiesta however.
ive played it once but i dont remember when and i got the game in 2015 so who knows. i think its a no respawn gamemode with mantises

This. I ran maybe ~10 or so core & BTB games yesterday & got ~3 of Stronghold.
I really dig it which is odd bc I wasn’t a big territories guy.
Seems to be in Core rotation more than BTB.
Hope you like playing slayer or CTF because you will play a lot of them waiting for Strongholds to come round. I feel the pain as that is the commendation I am trying to get.

2 days of Core Play and I’ve almost finished the commendation for capturing points lol
The problem with Strongholds is that the maps that it is featured on are absolutely terrible for the gamemode. Super Fiesta Strongholds on The Rig is honestly so unenjoyable!
